In her latest Friday Kitchen Disco, the wonderful Sophie Ellis-Bextor performs a ‘KARAOKE’ version of Its a Sin.

If you weren't so goddamn toxic, you'd remember we're all quarantining and not everyone has a professionally lit studio to record covers for your professional standard. She's been doing these small concerts spontaneously for a year now to cheer people up... so yeah, why the Hell are you so mean.

My memory is a bit hazy, but was there talk of a collaboration many years ago?

Wtf is wrong with this place. The first two comments are negative....

She does these shows every couple of weeks from her kitchen. She takes suggestions from fans on Instagram. She obviously covered It's a sin because of the series finale being on TV last night. It would make no sense to cover Being boring.

I think she did a great job. These weekly live shows are brilliant fun. 30 minutes of pure joy.

I think PSB submitted a demo for either her first or second album. There was an interview, maybe on PopJustice, where she said it arrived too late.

Wasn't there a rumour that the demo was the reworked In the club or in the queue that they'd redone as part of Closer to Heaven?

If you indeed see any negativity in my comment, seek help. I simply called things what they were. How isn't that a karaoke? The instrumental part obviously aims to sound as close to the original as possible. Conversely, a cover usually re-invents it.
Or, maybe "karaoke" has become a swear word?

Some people are just like that and can't help themselves, unfortunately.. That's why an alternative place has been set up..

As for SEB, yes she seems to be a great mum and sport. She was also the warm up act on a PSB tour. May have been Fundamental or Pandemonium. I can't recall which one right now..

Christ on a bike that guy is SERIOUSLY boring.
Who cares what it is. Sophie does a brilliant job doing these shows for anyone to enjoy. I’d love to see a PSB collaboration.

I do care what it is. When I see something is called a "cover", I open the video link hoping to hear a real cover, where the artist has made effort to re-invent the song. But it turns out to be a karaoke party. Meh.

I recall in an interview, she said When she was young, PSB were the first band she got into. She bought all their singles and Albums on the first day of release.
