PSB on Spotify
It's a pedantic query but does anyone know why Discography is credited as being released in 1998 and Disco in 1990 on Spotify?

What do you expect of Spotify?Patrick Bateman wrote: ↑Wed 27 Jan 2021, 6:09 pm It's a pedantic query but does anyone know why Discography is credited as being released in 1998 and Disco in 1990 on Spotify?
Ain't no PSB fans made the database entries but someone who could not possibly care.
Like the sales would increase by any cent if they did enter them correctly.

Yeah....Spotify....what a nightmare...I guess it is good one can easily listen to music but Spotify is a true horror story: Unorganized on multiple levels, stealing from artists and no open dialogue on a business model that works for everyone. So, to answer your question Patrick Bateman, in my opinion it is because Spotify is overwhelmed stealing from artists and they can't keep up a quality level on details.

I would assume Parlophone/EMI submitted the information.

Rather, Spotify probably hires monkeys to rip CDs and type data in, and then terms would be just negotiated with the copyright holder.

The weird thing is they used to be correct. I only noticed when I was playing the It's a Sin soundtrack.
