I enjoyed those and look forward to hearing more. Thank you.

Your bass/drum mix of Two Divided by Zero is really good. It's one of the few fan created mixes that I think approaches or even surpasses the original. It's only my opinion of it of course, but it's so clean and sparse, but ... I can't find the word ... Groovy? that I just love it. Thanks for posting.

it's nice hearing the different elements in these early songs.
i really enjoy playing around with the software.
listen around the 2:00min mark of the drum and bass,
and you hear the cowbells which sound exactly like they do in 'west end girls'.
i try to stay true to the originals, and will eventually do a remix,
still playing around with settings and such.
there are some multitracks from them out there, but they are from
songs that came out much later.

Good effort. There seems to be a lot of frequencies missing and there sounds like a lot of phasing going on. nice try

yes, a second pass will be able to improve these.
also, if there are other sources, that can help, it depends on the song.
thanks for checking it out.

Re: Pet Shop Boys - Please 35th anniversary tribute from me
ok, onto west end girls...
well, who hasn't heard this song yet.
there were a few dubs of it i think,
but not a pure instrumental..
so at least there's that.
and i attempted another dub version:
inst:
---------------------------------------
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFK1EmtEjCg
dub
----------------------------------------
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJc5-j0o2Vk
and of course onto opporunities lets make lots of money,
which is my favorite song from them of all time.
i never get tired of hearing it. i never cared for
west end girls, but this is the song that got me
hooked on them.
i love all the remixes, and versions, and they
even put the reprise on the album, so....
here's my instrumental:
-----------------------------------
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrZw2Mrt9kk
and again, another more industrial sounding dub:

Re: Pet Shop Boys - Please 35th anniversary tribute from me
i love 'love comes quickly',
its one of the few ballads
that actually works for me.
maybe because of the great production,
and even remixes, it all works out really well.
this was one of the few songs at the beginning
that had a dub mix too.
an excellent album track, and single.
here's my take on an instrumental:
============================================
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wf0RvBE5NuI
and a dub where we hear more of Neils voice:

Am I missing something here? All you’ve done is use the virtual dj2020 software and cut out either the vocals for the instrumental or the “main” parts for the dubs. It literally takes as long as the song is to make.
is is and isnt isnt

continuing onwards,
up to another all time classic, 'suburbia',
we got several awesome mixes, some weren't released though.
there are long instrumental breaks in the remix.
but here's an instrumental version:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtCLtHfuTeI
and a more minimal dub of it:

not much to say about songs everyones heard
countless times in the last few decades.
however, the music speaks for itself.
(skipping the reprise), and..
'tonight is forever',
another great upbeat song, about relationships, yet again.
or is it.

Also intruiging that after running the original audio through a few plugins/filters and uploading the result to YouTube, he claims to own their copyright in each video's image...tottenhammattspurs wrote: ↑Sun 17 Jan 2021, 12:13 pm Am I missing something here? every single video i post has a copyright strike.
i don't care, and have never monetized anything ever.
it's all just for fun.
