Correct. Spain had already legalized same-sex civil unions at the time but the Netherlands was the first country to open up marriage for same-sex couples. There is also no such thing as gay marriage btw, the law just got rid of the clause that marriage should be between two partners of the *opposite* sex.

Jarman's video is so good. It does encapsulate the way PSB presented commercial pop in an arty way, as do the Latin verses towards the end of the song. It's definitely stood the test of time.

I’m up to episode 4 after the show’s premiere in the U.S. on Thursday. Beautiful, bittersweet, emotional. Loving it though not without a few issues I have with it. And of course that amazing soundtrack!!
