Peters Pop Show (the days PSB looked like rock stars on a TV show)

#1 Post by Nickname »

The PSB account has taken the 4 performances of Neil and Chris on this TV show. I know there is a Youtube thread but I think it's the first time we can watch the 4 performances all together and talking about them. I love it. You know it's like PSB being rock stars. I love the spectacularity of it and the connection with the crowd. Not very usual for a TV show and even more with PSB on it.

Love the lip synching! Kool to see these...I have never seen them before. I love it when Neil does a disco twirl on the "Opportunities" performance. Fun.

Ah, that's the one with the plastic bubble. Oh the 80s.

Nothing says ‘rock’ like performing in the tip of a giant condom!
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

We're bored to hear it, but:
In times of corona it could have a comeback.
A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

What on earth was that bubble about? It's rather amusing to see Neil dressed as Chris.

These are already in the YouTube section, because oddly, they are on YouTube... :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

Neil must have found it ludicrous to be performing inside what looks from a distance to be a giant wobbly jelly.

Great and strange but there is a recurring theme for all four videos

- perhaps told that the decorators are in when performing 'Opportunities' I don't think paint splatters on the artist's designer clothes would be a good idea. Neil then realises they are using gloss rather than matt for the walls. Chris at the end says 'That's a wrap'

- Chris makes the tea but the kettle over boils and there is a scissor platform to reach the ceiling parts for more painting during 'Surburbia'

- during 'It's A Sin' Neil agrees to paint the corners and hard to reach areas using the mobile hydraulic platform

- after all that decorating work a sit down for 'Rent'
