What has Mr Faltermeyer done in the past 20 years?

I'd like them to work with the Junior Boys some time

The Boys are constantly about the here and now. So would have to be someone current. David Jackson probably bit too inexperienced at 17 (bright future though) so would say Artbat, Mella Dee or Neil’s mate Kolsch. Though have you seen that doing the rounds where Cheeky Pete says he’d be up for doing a Relentless style collaboration. That’d be really interesting! 🤞

Greetings,
The Boys are constantly about the here and now.
In that case, they should get the producer of Jesus Jones' "Right Here, Right Now".... Martyn Phillips. 8)

He's produced some great stuff over the years, and what he managed to do with Erasure's sound on the Chorus album, compared to all their works prior, suggests he'd be a great producer for another analogue synth album.

Retro. :)

Hell yeah, why not.
Listening to his recent work he's still got it.

I'm sorry, but that's terrible. The only contact they should have is just obtaining their original works to put in a box set and stopping there. No Tess mixes, no West End Sunglasses fodder, just get the goods and leave.

I'm I big fan of Kölsch's last two albums, 1989 in particular. Neil is also a fan of his and Kompakt in general. Last time they had a German producer things turned out ok. Maybe a logical step on from their 'Berlin' (via L.A.) album.

I'd love them to do something with Rick Smith and Karl Hyde from Underworld. I think they would have a very similar dynamic and it would be great to hear what a ''pop' album and 'harder dance' album would sound like. An Underworld/Relentless 2 album would be very exciting.

Plus a New Order/PSB/Underworld combined tour would be my idea of a very top night out (remember them?)

Why not bring in Jackson as co-producer? They did that with Elysium - Andrew Dawson had basically never produced anything until PSB gave him the opportunity to co-produce with them.

As for bringing in Bobby O - have you seriously listened to his later albums? :wall:

Klas Ahlund as he got such a great sound on the Robyn tracks he's worked on.
CYA as their mix of Decide was really aggressive.
Ditto with Tuff City Kids on their mix of "Undertow."
They should give Andrew Dawson another shot as he got a good sound out of them even though many of the songs on "Elysium" were twee. Just listen to how incredible "Invisible" and "A face like that" are!!!

I get a strong feeling Andrew Dawson didn't really do much - the songs pretty much still sounded like Pet Shop Boys studio demos. What they need is someone who will remix their demos significantly.

I'd prefer them to produce themselves this time (like Release) or use only minor input from various producers (like Very).
Yeah I would like that also. besides, so many times later after an album has been released we hear the demo's they brought to the producers and the finished product always end up sounding like the demo's with a few minor tweaks. so what exactly all these producers they hire and pay lots of money to are bringing to the table is beyond me.

Or I'd like them to do an entire album with Anne Dudley.
