Re: New Pet Shop Order Boys
I think it’s pretty clearly billed as a co-headlining show. That’s doesn’t mean people aren’t fans of one more than the other, but i don’t think anyone will mistake either band as “support”.
I sincerely *love* Disco 2 and listen to it straight through regularly.
Re: New Pet Shop Order Boys
When will the normal "ON SALE" option be available for the Madison SG? Still says "Presale"..and almost no tickets available on any position... (just one, to be clear...)
edit: well..now, not even loading the page...("technical difficulties")

Prices aren't any better

What a hell..tried to get places many times (I selected very nice seats at first!) but my card seems to get rejected over and over (the card data form load again after thinking for a few seconds)... Now only ugly places remain available...
Very bad luck...

Oh I know, and I think all of us here clearly understand that. I'm thinking more the casual NO attendee might not necessarily feel it's worth seeing PSB, and mistakenly think they're a supporting act. I bet there'll be people surprised that NO are on first and PSB after if they specifically went for the purposes of seeing NO.Luke Colorado wrote: ↑Fri 28 Feb 2020, 3:12 pm I think it’s pretty clearly billed as a co-headlining show. Perhaps I don't give the average concert goer enough credit - there's that possibility too!

Re: New Pet Shop Order Boys
Toronto looks pretty much sold out now general sale is on.
There's mostly resale tickets, some Floor GA up front and Lawn GA at the back, and a smattering of Platinums in the front 200's - which interestingly are now $500 CAD - when only moments before during pre-sale they were $1000!
Maybe if Ticketmaster want to call out the touts and scammers, they should be a bit more forthcoming with their own dodgy practices first. Pot-Kettle-Black springs to mind.

Remember too, these tickets are EXPENSIVE! If I wasn’t a big fan of both bands I wouldn’t pay this much for either one. That’ll certainly help weed out the folks you mentioned.

When I've seen NO and PSB separately, they've been fairly reasonably priced, true. NO a bit steeper usually.
I guess we shouldn't assume everyone is as enthusiastic about these two being on the same bill as we are. If I was "meh" about PSB and only a casual NO fan, I might be more inclined to give it a miss.
The sheer fact that I personally think this is the concert to end all concerts right now means I'm willing to pay a good price for the tickets....however, I do still think some prices I've seen are too high so it's even pushing the envelope for this big fan of both bands.
Now, throw Hooky back into NO, and you've got something extremely special.

Agree. I Impetuously posted in the other thread, before the shows were even announced, that I’d pay $500 a ticket. Well.... the universe took me up on it.
I sincerely *love* Disco 2 and listen to it straight through regularly.
Re: New Pet Shop Order Boys
Surprised there's been no comment about NO's one-off UK date at the O2 on 10 October. Possible PSB involvement or not likely??
Re: New Pet Shop Order Boys
Tickets at the front of the Hollywood Bowl show are on sale for $1950. Just a regular ticket. Jesus.
They've added a second Hollywood Bowl date - tickets on sale next week. I am sorely tempted.

I saw that. Welp... that’s capitalism. At least the money is going to the artist vs resellers (like me).

Re: New Pet Shop Order Boys
I am assuming this set will not be Dreamworld - I suspect it won't be -
in suits or sequins/or twin sets and pearls
Re: New Pet Shop Order Boys
Wonder if PSB will headline the second Hollywood Bowl night. Switch it up.
Also hoping the Unity set won't be the Dreamworld set ...
I have that to look forward to that in May and it would keep things fresh if the Unity set is different ... or at least hoping a good chunk of it is different
