Re: Annually 2020 + Free CD
Mine arrived half an hour ago.
Beautiful Laundrette is good. Night Sings is probably my favourite on the CD. Angelic Thug is ok but nothing special.
Decide was almost on the album but Chris vetoed it.
You Are The One started out as a dance song then they worked it into a ballad.

1. Omar’s theme- Instrumental version of No boundaries
2. Angelic thug - Lightweight jaunty poppy jazzy little number with a latinesque beat. "Talks dirty , looks so pretty he's an angelic thug Ooh ooh". Ok but nothing of substance.
3. Johnny’s dark side- Nice - dark and dreamy slow instrumental with dubby brass smeared across it , dogs barking ,ambulances passing. Sounds like early evening gliding through the streets and this is your soundtrack. Very cool
4. Night sings (Popa’s theme) - Kinda similar to To speak is a sin in it's form, sounds like a solo wind instrument converys the main theme over a sparse beat. Melow sitar comes in and sits well with the above. Another nice piece
5. Johnny’s theme - Instrumental of Angelic Thug
6. Beautiful laundrette - Eh up the boys are back. Retro synth stabs and riffs, swirling pads over a pumping bass almost jean michel jare esque at times. More use of the sitar delayed towards the end. Not a million miles away from Axis. Cracking little pumper !
7. No boundaries- As heard !

Re: Annually 2020 + Free CD
f***! Still no dispatch email! What's going on? Should I re-order?
A small voice of calm and reason.
Re: Annually 2020 + Free CD
Same for me, dispatch email yesterday for delivery on 17th, check DPD tracker and says they are still waiting for it. Not impressed.
Re: Annually 2020 + Free CD
While I wait for mine to arrive in the US, has anyone ever scanned any of the old annually issues in .pdf format?

Search “My beautiful laundrette” on YouTube and you’ll find the tracks uploaded by chibb73. The track My beautiful laundrette is my favourite.

I heard the tracks on youtube. I really like angelic thug. the production is so light and airy. I love how it bounces along.
Neils singing sounds nice and bright on it. I dont know who produced it but they did a great job.
