At Rock Bottom / Let Me Love You For Tonight

#1 Post by andmaste »

"At Rock Bottom" (the last PSB B-Side) has a lot of musical references to Kariya "Let Me Love You For Tonight".
It can't be only a coincidence, and to be honest I thought they credited Kariya song's authors for their song.

Agree - definitely some similarities there...
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

Yeah this is why some tracks end up as B-sides

It's possibly the inspiration. Chris picked this record for todays radio appearance on Bayern1. He commented "This was when house music came around and changed our lifes forever. Foooorever."
A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

Given that comment, gotta believe the similarities are 100% intentional.

Wow. The intro's nearly the same, basically.
Interviewer:
-What would you tell someone about yourself if you wanted to impress them?

Chris:
-I´ve got a 12-inch plonker.

'Let Me Love You' feels like core freestyle. At Rock Bottom, though has an intro and initial tune similar to it, it feels like a stripped down and simplified version of the freestyle classic.
