Yes, so glad the Toronto date is a Saturday still. I hoped I wouldn't have to take a day off work.

Boo - NYC is now a Wed night ... will make child-care duties somewhat awkward.

I'll find a way!

^^ I was thinking that too (Boo!) about NYC being a Wednesday night! There’s also room in there to add an additional NYC show. Hmmm...

Friday and Saturday at the Hollywood Bowl...cool. But that parking is bullshit. Better walk there and park off-site.

Do we know which of the new dates PSB are headlining?

I think it's the same headline order as previous ... judging by this schedule from ticketmaster I believe the first act listed is the headliner for that night

1. Sep 18, 2021 / Budweiser Stage - Toronto, Canada / NEW ORDER & Pet Shop Boys
2. Sep 20, 2021 / Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion - Boston, MA. / PET SHOP BOYS & New Order
3. Sep 22, 2021 / Madison Square Garden - New York, NY / PET SHOP BOYS & New Order
4. Sep 25, 2021 / TD Pavilion at the Mann - Philadelphia, PA / NEW ORDER & Pet Shop Boys
5. Sep 28, 2021 / Merriweather Post Pavilion - Columbia, MD / PET SHOP BOYS & New Order
6. Oct 1, 2021 / Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island - Chicago, IL / NEW ORDER & Pet Shop Boys
7. Oct 3, 2021 / Armory - Minneapolis, MN / NEW ORDER & Pet Shop Boys
8. Oct 7, 2021 / Rogers Arena - Vancouver, Canada / PET SHOP BOYS & New Order
9. Oct 9, 2021 / Gorge Amphitheatre - George, WA / NEW ORDER & Pet Shop Boys
10. Oct 13, 2021 / Chase Center - San Francisco, CA. / PET SHOP BOYS & New Order
11. Oct 15, 2021 / Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood, CA. / NEW ORDER & Pet Shop Boys
12. Oct 16, 2021 / Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood, CA / PET SHOP BOYS & New Order

So for the NYC gig I'm attending, PSB headline that evening ....if I'm reading it right.

To have New Order as a 'warm up act' is not a bad night out in my book

Are you guys saying that the gigs will not be all the same? Some will mostly feature PSB, others New Order? That seems rather weird. It's a Unity, so I thought both bands will be of equal importance on all dates.

They’re both equally billed. But in some shows New Order will open, to be followed by PSB, and in the other shows PSB will open, to be followed by New Order.

You are right though, they need to relook at it. They should both go on last every night.
Woof.

From the official press release:

"Both bands will play a full set with the headliner alternating each night."

Hopeful that there will be a crossover at the end for an Electronic encore

What's the applicable definition of "headliner" then? That who plays the last?

In this case I’d say yes ... but in most cases like festivals, the headline act plays last and longest and is the main attraction.

But here - the groups are co-headlining so EQUAL billing ... alternating who goes first and second is just a mechanism that supports the equal status here.

Seems fair to me - can’t see a better way

Just park at Hollywood and Highland and take the bus in. Easy in and out by comparison. But yes, the bowl sucks. Beautiful venue, terrible bench seating.
