Show your love for “Hoping for a Miracle”

#1 Post by robyus21 »

I assume this song doesn’t have many chances to become next single, but I hope at least we get a remix in some future release or project. And I know I am not the only one who feels this way.

For me it’s the best track on hotspot. Not sure what a remix could do to make it better. At first I thought the bridge was kind of weird with those unusual chords, but it’s definitely grown now.

A beautiful mid-tempo ballad and the main hook is just..wow! Among my favourites on Hotspot for sure, my favourite of all the slower ones.

That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

I absolutely love this song. The sweeping synths along with Neils vocal’s gives me goosebumps. It really is beautiful

It‘s the best song on Hotspot for me. A 10/10.

Definitely a highlight on Hotspot.
I could listen to this repeat for sure.

The Interlude music instrumentation reminds me of the Intro to ‘Love Is Bourgeois Construct’.

This is my favourite...and the "synth strings' that Chris programmed are just gorgeous! You can really tell the sound details in the instrumental. Just love this song.

I agree... Best track of the album, together with Will-o-the-wisp

Yeh I would also agree its a beautiful song it really is. I couldn't decide on first listen but in second (and now many after) it is 100% my favourite just ahead of Happy People.

Bland lyrics. I don't care for Blair's life.

That's probably the single last thing I would associate with this track.

Best on the album for me as well. A TOWERING CENTREPIECE (I already said this somewhere else I think, sorry). Probably fewer mentions in reviews than any other track on the album. Suspect it will become much more appreciated over time.

Classic PSB. Beautiful. Perfect vocals, clever lyrics and love the classical riff/ motif. Rivals BTH for the hottest spot. Funny how I thought that BTH was referencing Cameron in the same way as it talks of Blair.
