There is something that disappoints, the end of the song it's the beginning of Wedding in Berlin and they are not connected.

O really?

What other end is there for those happy people living in a sad world? Unlike the narcissist washed up drunk on Waterloo bridge, they find some measure of happiness in conjugal union*....

Hear the story, Nickname!

I may be wrong, but I think that nickname’s point was that Wedding in Berlin doesn’t follow Happy People in the track list?
Love comes quickly, but is a catastrophe and a bourgeois construct etc.

Maybe, but would he be expressing disappointment if he'd made the thematic connection?

When I noticed the similarity of the bells from the end of HP and beginning of WIB I immediately thought these guys were making the ironic connection implied. They are sooooo musically exquisite as to let this happen just by accident.

The final part of Happy People is just the same sound you can listen at the beginning and ending of Wedding in Berlín.

Is it just me or does anyone else think the spoken vocals are a bit too quiet? This seems to be a trademark of Stuart Price as he‘s done it on Thursday too...

OJ Borg played it on Radio 2 early this morning. Sounds great on the radio.

From PSB twitter:

The eerie sound you can hear on “Hotspot” at the end of “Happy people” and at the beginning and end of “Wedding in Berlin” are the bells of the church of St Matthias in Goltzstrasse, Berlin. Neil recorded them on his phone while crossing nearby Winterfeldplatz.

So it's the same bells.

Did anyone felt the opening bars sounded like it was from OMD's Dazzle Ships, then it suddenly shifted
and sounded like a track from Electronic's debut album! The mercurial fleet footed quality of the track
amplifies the playful vibe and it's a quality that I hope they continue on future recordings.

This is an absolute banger and I would love to hear an extended remix done by the Boys themselves.
