Me too and I have 3 formats! D’oh!
Yup. Double CD, Vinyl, Cassette and now... digital.

I reckon this race ain’t over yet!
Not with fans like us around!
Up to number three on iTunes 👍🏻 It’s working 😁

On a side note, my Mrs and two teenagers have just told me they like Monkey Business. Quite an emotional moment 😄

The problem I have with streaming is it doesn’t differentiate between who likes it and who doesn’t.

For example I listen to the J Hus album and think it’s awful. It counts as a listen.

35,000 people listen to the J Hus Album and think it’s awful and it count as 350 sales, which is easily done if you say things like “Alexa play rap music”. Record companies pay to have their tea is on particular algorithms. Here in the UK Ellie Goulding was number one recently by only being available on Amazon streaming services. Over Xmas people were saying “Alexa play Xmas music” and her record company had paid to have her new single on Xmas playlists”. It racks up hundred of thousands of sales and yet 95% of those streams probably weren’t even aware the song was being played. The whole thing is open to manipulation and it stinks. It’s worse than incentives to chart return stores. It’s worse than multi format releases. The charts are dead. The record companies know it. The record BUYING public know it. Record shops know it.

I just had a quick google... you sure it’s not a single that’s dropping tomorrow?

Your nuts.

I have been playing the bloody thing all week on my Apple Music, had the volume on one above mute or a bit louder when able hoping my streams push it up....I’m verging on being sick of hearing it. 😬

I’ve bought a physical, now thinking do I need a digital.

Lol, go on you know you want to ;)

I’m the same though, I don’t really buy anymore because I pay £15 a month to Apple Music but I thought ‘sod it’ - let’s get behind this thing. Only cost me 4 quid because I’d already bought BTH :)

£4 here as well, as I’d already bought Dreamland.

I congratulate PSB fans in Hong Kong. Amidst the horrible corona virus commotion and political turmoil, Hotspot still manages to cling to its no 4 position.

Oh, for God’s sake, J Hus was no.5 an hour a go!

Edit: still no.2 on my iTunes - J Hus is still no.5?

If David Walliams was any friend to them he'd be buying up copies x 1000 to get them over the finish line! Apparently that's how Louis Walsh secured high chart placements for Boyzone.
