The truth is that Pitchfork is crazy about being politically correct and there is a lot of promotion of particular values. They combine it with their music agenda very easily. However, bands like PSB are perceived as too anachronistic and too romantic form of gayness. As you have noticed in the review, music is just a suplement to ideological message. This is a trend present not only on that site. All in all, now they're promoting some urban black rap and that shitty deconstructed music often written by artists with depression problems or some transsexual issues. Now this is a theme. You cannot change this narrative with good music.
