Lumping Chas and Dave in with Black Lace is grossly unfair. The former’s music may not be to your taste, but they were hugely respected musicians. Their work as session musicians has been sampled all over the place.
Chas & Dave were fantastic songwriters, "Ain't No Pleasing You" should be the British national anthem.

Chas and Dave wrote one the greatest songs ever recorded.
Chas and Dave (Dave to be precise) was sampled on Eminem’s “My Name Is...”
Chas and Dave have played alongside Eric Clapton, George Harrison and Steve Winwood.

Black Lace have a convicted Paedophile in their line up.

Don’t lump the two together.

The block piano chords that come in at 2m 39s are tremendous.

If Neil wouldn't shout, there are two parts in the PSB catalogue with a very similar vocal melody:
Monkey Business wrote: Bring me margaritas
champagne and red wine
DJ Culture wrote: Attitudes are materialistic
positive or frankly realistic
A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

Absolutely euphoric. Hopefully this part is longer in the album version

Wow, didn't expect that.

Perhaps I have misjudged, as it's the first single since Numb that I actively dislike.

I like the upward modulation of the synth line rather than, as one might expect, the voice, for the final chorus - but that's about it.

Yes, I hear it. Couldn't remember the name of the group, but definitely think the PSB pilfered this line.

I like the funk/groove of the song. Sounds a bit like a PSB attempt at their own „Get Lucky“. I don‘t like shouty Neil on it, though. All in all a good track, however. It feels a bit too short in my opinion. The album version will probably solve that ;) Not their best single but an uncommon/unexpected one. I really appreciate the variety the Hotspot singles have given us so far.

I think that the interviews and playlisting of Dreamland and Monkey business will have been agreed with Radio 2 as part of a package which will have included them headlining Hyde Park.
Woof.

Here here.
Someone thought they'd made a clever comparison but its ill-informed laziness was quite the opposite.
