Not really sure what Years and Years add to the track, I'd rather hear Neil throughout TBH. At least it's better than that last abortion of a collaboration where Example was sledgehammered in to do a pointless (c)rap as per 99% of the bilge that makes up the singles chart these days. It's OK, nothing really special though.
And at the end/ Your funny Uncle staring / At all your friends / With military bearing

The song, I'd like to reserve judgement but it's not jelling with me on the first listen. It has that same "wall of sound" style as Together where it just sounds noisy and almost poorly mixed.

Similar to the songs on Agenda, it's very short. 3 minutes and 28 seconds.
Look at the duration of the songs on Electric for example, Flourescent 6:14, Love is a Bourgeois Construct 6:41, Vocal 6:34.
It's over too quickly.

And then Neil says it's the opening track for the upcoming album.
Does that mean it's a mood setter for the album, or that it's the strongest track?
I thought the 3rd Stuart Price album is planned to be full of "slowies" they have written during the course of the last two albums.
I'm totally ready for new down tempo songs along the lines of No More Ballads, Invisible, King's Cross, I Want To Wake Up, Jealousy, Indefinite Leave to Remain, etc.

The lyrics aren't particularly witty or thought provoking, which is fine every now and then but it is another small reason to not like the song.

I think it's great and sounds relevant and modern. Also, the intro sounds like Hold that sucker down by OT Quartet which makes it a winner for me right away.
Good spot!
lol it's an exact duplicate!

I've still to visit Dreamland in Margate. It's not run as a huge commercial money making exercise but more as a focus to encourage tourism along with Turner contemporary so I hope it the single encourages people to visit. I'd be up for going with some fellow Petheads...

I recently went to Margate. There was an interesting photography exhibition on at the Turner. I also saw the shelter in which T.S. Eliot composed part of the Waste Land. There’s a massive Block Brexit sign displayed in the local tower block too, which should please Neil.

And Adagio for Strings by Tiësto.
A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

I thought exactly this. Also, I think there’s a callback to “I want to wake up” later in the track as well.

I’m always a sucker for a hugely ‘up’ party tune paired with seemingly slight lyrics that actually have several different deeper meanings… I think they’ve finally successfully written their own Go West.
