The new album of Pet Shop Boys: "It's sounding good!". Are you sure Neil?

We've just got back from a trip to Los Angeles where we were working with Stuart Price on our new album. It's sounding good! (Well, I would think that.) Neil x #PetText

"I would think that" does this mean something particular ?

I'm assuming it means he tends to like all the albums he is working on in their career. he's close to the source and as such is kind of impartial.
eitherway, this is great news its moving along. so...I suspect stage 2 will be learning the song titles, and then the worst part the release date. which is always seems to be like 5 months away from when they announce it! exciting times!

You mean he's not impartial, surely. It's a Pet Shop Boys record, so of course Neil would think it's good, otherwise why talk about it online and tell us he's recording. Imagine, "We've just got back from a trip to Los Angeles where we were working with Stuart Price on our new album. It's sounding dreadful! Neil x #PetText"

I had a feeling the silent news period we've had recently was a recording window. It's always a wonderful moment when we hear confirmation that Pet Shop Boys are in the studio. It's the little things that make life worth living.

I wonder if there is a duet with Tracy Thorn, on the new album. They recently met up for lunch. And she has just revealed in Classic Pop that she has a couple of collaborations lined up, but can’t talk about it !

A duet with a female vocalist is well overdue - especially as an album track.

Looking forward to the next smidgen of news about the new album !
you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

I also see a pattern in recent years, where they to tend to spend the harshest parts of the english winter in LA recording, or on tour somewhere warm and lush.
And, when soon reaching pensioner age, why shouldn't they?

Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|

Sadly, I think one of my favourite things in life is hearing of a new PSB song title long before I hear it, so I can imagine what it sounds like.

It reminds me of them announcing It's a sin in Smash Hits.

Amazing news!
Maybe another LA-based album even has bits of the warm sound of Elysium again? I'd love that!
And if Neil says that it's sounding good, I trust him entirely ... just hoping that Chris thinks likewise 8)

Stuart Price lives in Los Angeles. Electric and Super were produced there without having the LA-sound Elysium has had.

Still waiting for a latin-sounding album called "Los".
"It was a dark and stormy night."
"You know what's wrong with your stories? They lack subtlety."
"It was a sort of dark and kind of stormy night."
