So pleased to see Give it a go featuring -

Yes, at first listen it's a little underwhelming, but it's grown to be a solid underrated friend ..

1. Leaving:
Heartbreaking yet hopeful lyrics, with some fantastic remixes.

2. The Pop Kids:
The joy and pain of the past.

3. Together:
Rave pop at its best and the extended mix is amazing.

4. Into thin air:
PSB go sort of poppy drum and bass with an escapist theme.

5. Inside a dream:
The dreamy standout track on Electric.

6. One night:
Spooky and sexy.

7. Burn:
Disco fever at its best.

8. Give it a go:
Very sweet and underrated.

9. A face like that:
Ravey in its own retro way, with an intro that sounds an extended mix of itself.

10. Invisible:
An unusual blissful and Massive Attack-esque track.
Passion, love, sex, money, violence, religion, injustice and death. More on that story later.

Ziggy, you went too far back.
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'
"He couldn't have fell off that hard" Ain't no way
"What happened to the way you was rappin' when you was scandalous
That Canibus turned into a television evangelist"
Plus he raps with his regular voice [BOOSH! BOOSH!]
[BOOSH! BOOSH!] (What was that?) Pet Shop Boys

No I haven't. Ten years ago today, Yes still hadn't come out. Not even a Brits Medley performance.
This is a song about boys and girls. You hear it playing all over the world.

Oh,this is easy, even if there was a lot of great tracks, but Nr.1 is for me one of the best songs ever!!!!

Nr.1 Vocal.
What a song, one of the best ever.Watch the reactions on tour, how the crowd is celebrating,dancing,singing..The perfect dance track. Can listen to it every day.A bomb!

Nr.2 Inner Sanctum
Nearly as good as Vocal, the best intro to a concert ever. The euphoric middle part is like a climax.

Nr.3 Burn
The Super Tour version is so perfect, much better than the album version.Excellent for clubbing.

Nr.4 Leaving
One word -Super

Nr.5. Love ist a bourgeois construct
Classic PSB Style,Melody,great text,hymn,great.

Nr.6 Memory of the future
Great Single mix.Nice cover and big melody.

Nr.7 The Pop Kids
Pet Shop Boys classic, like the good, old, radio Hits

Nr.8 I started a Joke
Great voice by Neil,wonderful cover.

Nr.9 Say it to me

Nr.10 Axis

fluorescent -----(Cali mix) NOT album version. I mean whoa....that beat....the dreamy analog synth and it sounds so sleazy somehow.
Ring Road -----that chorus! the music...love those chord changes...so mysterious sounding at the chorus part

Sad Robot World. ------thats a great set of lyrics and a nice beautiful futuristic sounding tune.

The White dress-----when they talk about doing a dark techno album, this embodies that whole concept. its dark sounding, techno, and yet WAY too short. love Neils spacey vocals.

into thin air--------- not totally on board with the drums, its too jungle, but the lyrics and the music are quite beautiful.I like the sentiment of running away.

Dictator Decides------just the intro alone is worth the price of admission. LOVE the lyric "discussing conspiracies and prison facilities" as that beautiful but somber music drones.

Dead can dance------ I like how the music is pretty much the same thing looping but they add little things to beef it up.

requiem in denim-----------I miss their orchestral style songs. its been too long. hope they do some more on the next one.

It's nice to see I'm not the only one that really likes Dead Can Dance (I nearly put it in my top 10).

It was hard enough to get this down to just 10… so no way I'm going through the angst of ranking them! Instead I've put them into an order that makes a great playlist. Going to have to burn it onto CD for driving I reckon…

Axis (video edit)
Leaving (PSB side-by-side remix)
Give it a go
Inside a dream
The dictator decides
A face like that
Burn
Wiedersehen
Breathing space
Vocal (instrumental)

I think these lists rather prove that the last 10 years have been somewhat of a renaissance for the Boys. There are so many stone cold classics here it's like the 80s all over again!

Nice to see people giving room to Elysium tracks too...I've always felt it was underrated and over time would come to be regarded much more highly. It looks like that's starting to happen.
