1) Brick England.... the final verse lyrics get me every time. Snake of tourists meandering .,.. cmon who the hell has ever used meandering on a pop song !! It’s insane

2).pop kids... offer Nissim full remix ... unbridled joy

3). sad robot world. Closest to ripping off sweet harmony without actually doing it. Love the lyrics as well

4). Vocal. Everything Drico says about this track. Repeated

5). odd man out. Nod to Pete Gleadall for producing this track.

6). Give it a go. Chris and his piano at full whack. The final verse chorus are just euphoric. Surprising given the lyrics which are incredibly personal and revealing

7). Inside a dream. Difficult to judge given that it appears so much of the track was accidental or just Stuart Price mucking around. I enjoyed though

8). Fade to Flourescent grey. If the boys werent so snooty they would play this version live.

9). The last to die. Four on the floor romp to the boss. What’s not to like?

10). Weidersehn. A song for our times as we celebrate the joy and opportunities awaiting us as we leave the EU. We will still have friends, memories and many reasons to visit our neighbours. Just without the need to be ruled by their manic federalist lunatics leaders.

Much though I like Thursday the album mix is very poorly mixed and you can't hear Neil's voice above the bombast. They improved it significantly with the single mixes but these are of course edits. Maybe one day they'll remaster it for the better.
Agree. This was the biggest failure on Electric and continues to disappoint me. I long for an unedited mix where the vocals are corrected like the single mix.

Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

Wow! Axis features heavily ... surprising to see how much love there is for this one. I personally skip this each time I play Electric.

Actually quite hard to pick just 10 ... even harder to list in order!

1. The Dictator decides
2. Leaving
3. The Pop Kids (PSB Deep Dub)
4. Fluorescent
5. The way through the woods (long version)
6. In slow motion (demo)
7. Brick England
8. Vocal
9. Thursday
10. Twenty-something
you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

fluorescent -----(Cali mix) NOT album version. I mean whoa....that beat....the dreamy analog synth and it sounds so sleazy somehow.
Ring Road -----that chorus! the music...love those chord changes...so mysterious sounding at the chorus part

Sad Robot World. ------thats a great set of lyrics and a nice beautiful futuristic sounding tune.

The White dress-----when they talk about doing a dark techno album, this embodies that whole concept. its dark sounding, techno, and yet WAY too short. love Neils spacey vocals.

into thin air--------- not totally on board with the drums, its too jungle, but the lyrics and the music are quite beautiful.I like the sentiment of running away.

Dictator Decides------just the intro alone is worth the price of admission. LOVE the lyric "discussing conspiracies and prison facilities" as that beautiful but somber music drones.

Dead can dance------ I like how the music is pretty much the same thing looping but they add little things to beef it up.

requiem in denim-----------I miss their orchestral style songs. its been too long. hope they do some more on the next one.
