Well, maybe it's the best moment to have a Number 1 album, if there is a litle possibility for that. Specially the first week.

I like the idea of listening new PSB music on Christmas (we can expect some leaks over there).

Why would they only be sending Kobalt the finished mixes ‘to listen to’?? Kobalt are not a record company. PSB do not require Kobalt’s approval to release the album. Likewise Kobalt have absolutely no say whatsoever in the artistic direction of the recording. Kobalt are merely a distributor for X2. That’s the whole beauty of them being on their own label. They can do whatever they want. Kobalt’s job is to distribute, market and promote. Whatever Neil & Chris deliver to Kobalt that’s what gets released (on X2).
Its taken me all of my life to find you

Maybe PSB are not satisfied with this album. Maybe they understood they need to re-record few songs. January is too late. And I hope they will make a good video for the first single.

If they arrived at an advanced mixing stage it means the album has a basic structure that's meant to last and enough material they're satisfied with. It's like the editing phase of a movie: you can shape material in different ways and embellish it if necessary, but you have to select from stuff you already shot or recorded, as at that stage it's very antieconomic to go back and redo entire sequences. I'm still convinced the delay depends simply on Musik.

Stuart Price and friend taking a break from finishing mixing our new album. (It’s being delivered to Kobalt next month for release in January. Full details in due course.)

So it's basically delayed.
A 2020 release is more monumental though. I hope it lives up to it.
Maybe we'll see a couple of singles before the album is released?

I don't really get the time frame and production process, to be honest.
So Price is done with mixing the album, what's happening between now and the next 6 months?

I just realized it's 4 years between Super and the new album. It seems a lot less. I remember the Release/Fundamental wait being a lot longer (although it did have Disco 3 inbetween)

He's taking a break from mixing the album, so he's not finished yet.

To me it feels like an eternity, mainly because I haven't been listening to Super since summer 2016 or sort.
