I'm not interested in cth stuff but i hope it won't be an excuse to postpone the new album next year.

Most logical thing at this point should be a Musik EP in autumn and album early next year. OS is presenting the Hyde Park as another Super tour date, and to decide strategies they might as well be waiting to see if Musik will be a success. Looks like they want to create some buzz without overlapping too much the different releases. It's tricky...
The parameters of 'success' for Musik are that people go and the reviews aren't shit... it's hardly going to go viral... they do like to line things up and do them one at a time, but I still think there will be some kind of launch happening in September (not before).

Yes, but C2H enjoyed a bit of a revival recently, and there could be a demand for Musik songs to be released. Their overall profile is certainly higher than in 2001 and they should just capitalize on it.

That supports my theory. And they're heading for a #1 album, aren't they?

There’s lots of big new releases in Aug/Sep, with Albums from Westlife, Keane, Liam Gallagher, Charli XCX, Ed Sheeran, and Taylor Swift, so it’s probably for the best that the new album is released in Jan. Maybe they’ll release a single around the time of the Hyde Park gig

Maybe he said "around September" and it's always been September or October for autumn studio albums.

In fact, if you'll indulge me-
Actually September 87
Introspective October 88
Behaviour October 90
Very September 93
Bilingual September 96
Nightlife October 99
Elysium September 12

If it's not released in the autumn it'll be March or April for sure. Unless they go mad and release it in January!
Well bugger me sideways. They clearly have gone mad!

I wonder if they've settled on the title yet and has Farrow been summoned..? Assuming they are only sending Kobalt the finished mixes to listen to..

A good five months before the album? There could be as well one album track preview at Hyde Park, with first single in november.
