The man who has everything

#1 Post by rashomon » Fri 28 Sep 2018, 4:54 pm

So my 13 year old Pop Kid stumbled on the Relentless album today on my library .... and span it up.

It's so great to hear after ages - such a solid album. I'm currently bugged by mis-heard lyrics on The man who has everything.

The official lyrics only document the lines Neil sings but does anyone know what the female backing vocalist is singing?
you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

While everyone else seems to be playing Very on its birthday. I too spam Relentless today

Still a damn fine album in its own right, not just a relative of Very.

This is from memory and not a very good one at that as I cannot listen to my music at the mo (too many new ear piercings). I always thought it was:- "come on, come on - come on DJ on the floor, come on DJ on the floor". The rest I don't know sorry. I like this song that's how I remember it lol.. Your Pop Kid has got good taste! btw 8)

Well..... I have just found this - I think I need a hearing test.

Come on, come on, come on, come on)
(How long will you do some more?)
(How long will you do some more?)
(You got to You got to - Love Love)
(Come on, how long will you do some more?)
(How long will you do some more?)
(LoLoLoLoLove)

(Aah) What do you want? (Aah)
(Aah) What do you want? (Aah)
(Come on, come on, come on, come on)
(How long will you do some more?)
(How long will you do some more?)
(You got to You got to - Love Love)
(How long will you do some more?)
(How long will you do some more?)
(LoLoLoLoLove)

(Oh) What do you want?
(Oh) What do you want?
(Come on, come on, come on, come on)
(How long will you do some more?)
(How long will you do some more?)
(You got to You got to - Love Love)
(How long will you do some more?)
(How long will you do some more?)
(LoLoLoLoLove)

What do you give
When the man who has everything needs such a lot?
Look how he lives
How there's only one thing he hasn't got:
Love

I read it as "Come on and get you some more..."
