My opinions FWIW.

Stuart Price is a great producer and perfectly suited to the boys. Only Trevor Horn would be a better choice, but it all dpends on what kind of sound they're going for.

Super is much-maligned and is a fun collection of songs and instrumentals that sounds like the boys are actually enjoying themselves.

Both Electric and Elysium are very patchy and would have been better combined into a single album - one side dance, the other pop. The best tracks on the albums are Vocal and Requiem In Denim & Leopardskin.

Leaving is far and away the best track on Elysium.
Nah, ‘Invisible’ is.
Leaving, Invisible, A Face Like That, Memory of the Future, Requiem in Denim and Leopardskin is the best track on Elysium.

Glad to hear Price will round out the trilogy. I'm not that keen on Super. It just feels like it doesn't quite know what it is. Is it a sequel to Electric? Is it a pop record? Is it trying to be retro?

Hopefully the next one will be more focused, as Electric was.

In Slow Motion is easily the best track from the Elysium period/album.

IMO, PSB turn-out their best work on albums when they're working with a strong producer who doesn't let them do whatever they want. The problem with Yes is that all the songs aren't cowrites as the cowrites are by far the best tracks on there. With Stuart Price he actually stands-up to them and vetos a lot of their ideas, which makes for a better product. Take Elysium for example, the one instance we know of that the producer stood-up to them and insisteded a track go on was with A face like that, which is far and away the best track on there, otherwise he deferred to their judgement and we got Winner, Hold on, and Give it a go. When PSB work with junior producers the producer let's them do whatever they want and we get PSB by the numbers.
Hey! Keep "Give it a go" out of that comparision! It's a classy tune - which is in a totally different league than the embarrassing songs "Winner" and "Hold on".

Yeah, it's a shame they didn't record it properly and put it on the album instead of Winner and/or Hold On.

I absolutely love In Slow Motion, it's awesome. Just makes no sense that it was ditched.

The lyrics to In slow motion are rather bland to my ears and let it down somewhat. But it's still a great song.

It’s in the same relegation zone as winner and hold on.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

I think it's a good song too, but you have to cut something, sadly.
