Fact of the matter is that PSB's output has remained remarkably consistent over more than thirty years. There has been no period of significant dip in quality. Yes, perhaps the Bilingual-Nightlife-Release era wasn't quite as consistent as the ones that came before but they still yielded a large number of truly amazing songs. And in particular ever since Fundamental they have been on fine form.

In fact I personally think PSB are one of the most consistent songwriters of all time.
I'm always waiting...

Lame, or perhaps the result of not hearing much since then? That'd be a genuine question then, wouldn't it?

Flitting means “moving swiftly”, often used to describe moving house.
This is a song about boys and girls. You hear it playing all over the world.

You're quite right Steve, I genuinely haven't heard much until lately when I Apple music-ified all their latest. Still ploughing through at the moment as I have to be quiet in the student house at night. Unbelievably. ;) When I've finished I'll write an annotated analysis like Lush used to. ;) You'll see. :)

I do flit though, between PSB, Scissor Sisters and James Blunt circa 2007. At least they were playing Left to My Own Devices in the Co-op today so I remembered to revise the old PSBs. ;)
