It's the best selling Electronic dance albums, as it states the Top 10 - 20 usually sell in the hundreds. Super went in at #1 on this chart with 10,000 sales in week one and 2,000 in week 2.

So sales wise, have Yes and Elysium sold less than Fundy, Nightlife and Release Or is it a case of about the same but on a particularly busy week?

Yes - 2,515
Elysium - 2,233

Has anyone got a updated total of sales on these albums? Yes must be nearing 70K copies sold now?

Both are more recent albums than the other three. It's a lot harder to get people to part with their money for an album they already bought just five years ago - especially when it's only got one bonus disc.

I must admit, when I held the Elysium reissue in my hands I did have the momentary thought of "didn't I buy this last year or something?"

Diminishing returns the later you go in the catalogue. That said, Please and the early albums will hardly chart too highly either because we already have the bonus discs. In fact, we already have the reissues. We choose to be fleeced.

Well, my theory holds a little, if not that much, water based on these figures. The fall off can probably be attributed to what I've suggested, but it's not all that significant in unit terms, meaning that the hardcore consists of about 2,000 obsessives/completists/45-year-olds.

Even without a fall off, they would have charted lower this time as it, clearly, was a slightly busier week of sales. Then again, we are closer to Christmas now.

Ha, tell me about it.

Although Bilingual was even more recent (4 years, 9 months) than Elysium (5 years, 1 month) at the point of its Catalogue reissue, it actually contained the most "new" material of any from those initial six for me. I had only bought one of the six 1995-7 singles and as Alternative only went up to Very the vast majority of the bonus tracks were completely new to me. I wouldn't have bought it otherwise.

This time round, I obviously have less sense (which is saying something considering I was 13 in 2001).
I must disengage your recreational music.
