Pet Shop Boys, Compendium

#1 Post by synthpopfan » Wed 10 May 2017, 6:14 am

Sounds like a great name of an "all-in" box set, right?

Was the idea that Neil talked about to feature all the Studio albums and Further Listening discs? Or something completely different all together?

Neil or Chris: of you decide to use this as your release title, could I have a name credit in the booklet? 👍

Yup, nice title indeed.
I would also be thrilled to see a PSB release called "Exactly Pet Shop Boys" :)

"Program" would be good, even for a politically-themed album.

Surely it would be 'complete' or 'completely'.

I like 'complete' or 'completely', but don't call me Shirley..!

How about Everything, Pet Shop Boys?

When you come to the store you can say: "I want Everything by Pet Shop Boys."
Have a look at my taste in music:

That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

"Complete", "Completely" or "Everything" will be incorrect as soon as they release something new afterwards. I'd keep those titles for future.
