There's a Noel Gallagher-y feel to this, too. I hope this gains some traction but if it doesn't I love it all the same.
Are you kidding me? There certainly is not. Basically everything Noel's done post-Oasis ist brilliant. "Let's get lost", on the other hand, is a terribly boring song by an unbearable singer.
In your opinion

I love it myself.

Have to agree my self . There's nothing that catches my interest in this song and deffo no Gallagher feel to it .... although Neil does sound good on it

    First thoughts after first listen:
    1. I didn't think Neil's voice would go well with Chrissie's. It does. Works really well.
    2. This is what I had hoped "Release" would sound like. His voice sounds much better with soft, dreamy guitars and drums, than whatever they did on Release.

This is quite beautiful. Completely different from their Jean-Michel Jarre collaboration. But these two might be my favourite "PSB&related" tracks since Electric. The idea of a duet/collaboration album used to fill me with horror (after the collabomination that is In Private with EJ) but maybe with the right artists this might turn out interesting, after all.

"Collabomination"! Haha. Where's the name the next PSB album thread, "Collabomination" would be amazing!

I agree with you on soft guitars and the JMJ collaboration. I could get lost is terrific and I hope it does well.

Not a fan of The Pretenders. Won't be rushing to hear this.

Chrissy and Janet Street Porter could pass for long lost sisters.

Well that's three minutes of my life I'll never get back. Along with the twenty minutes of Songs in A Minor which ranks very highly among the most excruciating things I've ever had to sit through/listen to.

Ok...well here we have the "official" update today Monday, 6 February 2017 from Neil:

    http://petshopboys.co.uk/news/2017-02-06/lets-get-lost

"The Pretenders are releasing a new single, “Let’s Get Lost”, featuring Chrissie Hynde and guest vocalist Neil Tennant duetting on one of the stand-out songs from The Pretenders latest album, “Alone”. The track is released as part of a double a-side single with "Gotta Wait" and you can listen to it at the link below. Chrissie Hynde invited Neil to perform on it after a conversation between the pair backstage at a Pretenders gig in Austin, Texas, during which Neil told Chrissie that the track should be her next single. Chrissie said she would release it on the condition that he sang vocals with her; subsequently, when both artists were back in London they went in to Sarm Studios where Neil added his vocals to the track. This collaboration continues a working relationship that started when Chrissie performed “Four Songs In A Minor” with the BBC Concert Orchestra at Pet Shop Boys’ Proms show at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 2015. Neil Tennant commented: “I love Chrissie’s voice and I love this song. It was a pleasure to sing and it’s a thrill to be part of a duet with Chrissie.”

    No worries!

By the way, as well as Boy George, I Tweeted The Pretenders and Chrissie's account about this elusive "remix", but had no replies. I think the statement on the official site clarifies this for us now. I wonder if there will be a physical vinyl single.

Can a "double A-side single" be a download-only single? I hope for a limited 7" vinyl single in a few weeks.

I just heard it and think it's quite lovely, esp after 2+ years of electro/dance recordings, it nice to hear to NT's melodic voice on something gentler..
I was born in a hospital room with green walls, the doctor who delivered me wore a green overall, so did the nurses hovering around. So much greenery around, its no wonder that it is my favourite colour !

I really like it. Beautiful production, reminds me a lot of what : Black Box Recorder, used to do.

A refreshing change after to much : Stuart Price sound.

Fake news or just some reporter who couldn't be bothered doing any research?
