Pet Shop Boys on Mastermind (UK)

Specialist subject of Hacker the Dog (don't ask) tonight on bbc1's Mastermind. Embarrassingly easy questions. Probably up on iplayer by the end of the night....

I've just watched it on the BBC iPlayer & got all the questions right! :)

I wasn't impressed when Hacker T. Dog said PSB were a pop group of "yesteryear", when they are still going strong & had a Top 3 album this year. Surely anyone who's a big fan should know this? Oh well...

Hacker T. Dog is voiced by some guy called Phil Fletcher, so I assume he is a PSB fan & chose them as the specialist subject.

Phil Fletcher is the guy behind (or rather under ;) ) The Gluvets.

I spent the day filming with Hacker/Phil yesterday, christ he's a funny, funny man/dog A long day's filming and he never let up, what a joy.
More importantly, whenever there was a break we talked PSB...he's a HUGE fan. Hacker the Dog's favourite Pet Shop Boys album is Introspective, he prefers The Resurrectionist to Being Boring and hopes Trevor Horn returns to produce another album. So now you know.

He's also in a band, Pound Shop Boys. They record and perform cover versions but always in the PSB style.
