PSB Autumn Super Tour added dates:

#1 Post by Zog »

I have noticed that extra concerts have been added to the first leg of the "Super" tour. For example, the October 24 Vancouver (BC, Canada) show is now the fifth show, not the third.

Obviously good news for the PSB, hopefully buoyed by the hugely positive reception the ROH shows received.

...yet! Paris and a date in Chile have recently been added. Don't rule out more.

Where are the November German and Holland gigs? Leipzig, Tilburg, Hamburg and Cologne gigs are missing...

Quite strangely... no Spanish gig 'til now but like it happens generally with Portugal and Italy maybe they will play there only for summer festivals (for example the last PSB Italian gigs not festival-related are been in 2002 -or 2010 but that was a concert wanted by someone of the City Hall Administration-.).

Hoping for some Croatian/Slovenian/Hungarian dates in March 2017 or later. Heck, I'll even go to Italy if needed.
Have a look at my taste in music:

That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

I noticed the missing Dutch date too (since I have tickets). Is this a mere oversight? Or is this a very ominous sign indeed?

Still on the official site, no worries. They wouldn't just cancel a gig with no notice!

Oh dear, I can see Irish festival dates on the way so... Just book the feckin Olympia in Dublin and a few nice opera houses and theatres around the country, boys! We're too old for festivals and why play to people who are generally never going to buy your records anyway? Might be a nice little earner but it's rubbish for proper fans. I'd rather pay 200 euro for a nice venue than for a muddy field.

If Erasure can fill a 4,000 seater marquee in Cork, so can PSB. Surely there's a promoter out there with an eye for opportunity.

they enjoy playing festivals as you get a fresh, younger audience and it opens more people up to their music

I love the fact they do festivals - I saw them at Sonar in Barcelona and it was by far the best PSB crowd I'd ever seen (possibly rivalled by the first Tower of London show)

I've seen them at several festivals, big arenas, smaller venues and nightclubs. In my experience, the smaller the venue, the more enjoyable the experience.
I absolutely hated that huge gig they did on NYE in Sydney a few years ago. Idiots walking around posing and talking loudly throughout the set. I found that at festivals, drunken/drugged-up idiots who know one song would push their way roughly to the front.
Of course, none of this affects the people on stage. I'm sure it's lovely to be looking out at 70,000 people jumping around in the cold and rain having paid hundreds of dollars for the privilege. A fine view as long as you're not stuck in the middle of it.
Maybe I'm just getting old.

Totally agree, my best PSG gig is been in the Zürich Volkshaus (a 1000 people venue).
