Has anybody already received Behaviour/Very/Bilingual 2018 CDs from the official store? Or has anybody at least got shipment notification? Nothing for me so far :? .
sad, but this is the reason i no longer order from the official site. Amazon have them with me on release day, not nearly a week later.

May appear to be more expensive. I was going to order them off the PSB site but found they bump up the price due to delivery costs, therefore bringing it in line with the Amazon cost with free delivery. So I ordered them off Amazon. Have to wait a bit for them to be delivered but I get the Autorip now.

I bought Please to Bilingual reissues way back in 2001. I have only bought Nightlife to Elysium 2017/2018 reissues & Please Actually Introspective & Release Vinyl reissues & will buy Bilingual on Vinyl. Not keen on buying all reissues again, my Actually & Very 2001 reissues carry a lot of weight with Neil & Chris signing on both. Reading these comments about a superior sound quality on the latest batch has got me wondering....Are they much of an improvement to fork out again??
I still firmly believe there's no real improvement. It's just the fact that for the last 10 years we've listened to the albums on streaming and inferior MP3s so when we actually put on a cd and actually "listen", all we are hearing are all the subtle nuances that were always there but have subsequently been "lost" on our 256kps MP3s.....

I'm sure i'll be shouted down now but hey-ho!
I'm listening to FLAC mostly, so lossless and I think there's a newly found vibrance, especially to albums like Nightlife, Bilingual and Very. The new remasters are certainly an improvement over the old ones, which came out of the brickwalled noughties - as for comparison with original CDs, I can't say much because I haven't had the opportunity to familiarize with those.

Listening to Very right now and at the very end of A Different Point Of View / beginning of Dreaming Of The Queen there's a weird hiss in the right channel - almost like a vinyl sound. Can't remember if the 2001 version had that - anyone care to check and confirm?

I can confirm that there is a slight hissing noise in the right channel but you would need to have the volume up very loud to notice it. I checked the 2001 remasters and the noise is not there.

Regardless, I am loving these new remasters.

I've been listening to these over the last few days, and overall, I'm very happy with what we've gotten.

Behavior - This is the most substantial improvement. It's like night and day, honestly. The original and 2001 masters are absolutely laughable compared to this reissue, which has brightened up the tracks significantly, and added some much needed clarity and punch to the low end. It's amazing how dull sounding this album was in its original form, as it's now very airy and three dimensional.

Very - Not as immediately noticeable, but it's definitely the best this album has ever sounded. There's some added high-end and subtle stereo widening throughout. Some of the low-mid "mud" in the mixes has been EQ-ed out, making it easier to pick out certain sounds on a very densely mixed album. There's a sequencer line during the verses of I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing that I hadn't noticed before!

Bilingual - Honestly, some really subtle improvements, but that's about it. Some boosts in the high-end, most noticeable with hi-hat and cymbal sounds. Sounds a bit "smoother" overall, but nothing as drastic as the Behavior remaster.

Looking forward to Amazon delivering these to my door in vinyl form!

Hello...

Please double check which version that Amazon includes in your music library.
I have had nothing but problems with them giving me the original further listening releases instead of the current re-releases.
It has been a nightmare getting them to realize their error.
I still don't have all of the current re-releases in my music library.
They state that the re-releases are not all available.

I ordered the CDs from the official store and the vinyl from Amazon. Seemed to be the cheapest way of doing it.

The discussion was about the CDs though. Even with the official store postage charges they work out cheaper than Amazon (£11.99 each vs £13.99).

Did the PSB shop just push the prices down?

I am listening to Very 2018 on the vinyl. I hoped they will improve Young Offender, but they didn't do it. I think it must sound wider. I hear Bass very well, but Young Offender sounds too messy for me. I am listening to it using very good monitors.
