Finally the CDs came from Pledgemusic but it's been sent from UK via Spain to Sweden in a thin casing and the CD carton is already broken. Haven't dared to open them yet...
As I feared, all of the CD boxes are broken...
Dammit PledgeMusic! I still haven't received mine yet. I'm in the US. Here's my saga so far:
1. A couple days before release day Pledge sent an email saying "Sorry, there's a delay with the CDs, we'll ship them just as soon as we can... we hope to get them to you within 5 working days"
2. Meanwhile people here are already receiving their sets and I panic, so I try to figure out how to cancel my Pledge order. It's damn near impossible so I simply email them and say "Please cancel my order". No response.
3. Fast forward to the Monday after release day, I get a shipping notice. Then later in the day someone writes back and says "I see you wanted to cancel, but the CDs have already shipped. Let me know if you want a return label after the CDs arrive" I decide to just wait for the dang CDs
4. Last night, 10 days after release day, I send an email to Pledge saying "Where are the CDs? You said you'd get them to me within 5 working days... 11 days ago"
6. Pledge emails back... "Oh sorry! Those are coming from the UK so the shipping could take two weeks"

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH
Yep, my CDs apparently have been criss crossing EU for the last 10 days wrapped in thin bubble plastic and a wafflethin envelope, of course it all got smashed

It's not been mentioned but I prefer the demo to Sodom and Gomorrah show with the enthusiasm that people are loving Radiophonic - which i also like - but it just has a seedier, more drivingly electronic thrust. And is Neil's vocal the same as the Fundamental version? For some reason it sounds better on the demo .

Dancing in the dusk is bloody marvellous too.

First and last time I ever order from Pledge as I haven't received my order.

The music, I can stream - but my main want, is to encapsulate myself in the booklets. I can't believe they aren't at least available to people who purchased digital copies.

Aren't there any online booklets or scans to read (or share?) anywhere on the web?

Amazon.co.uk managed three time (3) to NOT ship my order by UPS. Everytime I got an reply from UPS that Amazon never handed over the package despite getting an email from Amazon that the order was shipped.

After that I odered from CDuniverse (USA,CT) and got the package fast by FEDEX in a nice parcel safely packed.

Im in Denmark btw - Danish webshops are even more terribly with no cd's at all or long delivery times.

I miss the old days were I could go and pick up the CD's in a record shop the same day of release - hate the waiting time.

Anyone else ordered from WOWHD? I still waiting for mine (Vinyls). Checking my order and it's says "backordered"
Yes, but different scenario here.

Mine were apparently dispatched 25th July... though I've not received anything yet. Presumably they're coming from the UK (to Australia)?

Any longer and I'll start getting worried...

Hi! Does anyone have a guess of why "Je t'aime... moi non plus" hasn't been included ?

Excellent, Pertan.

I'm pleased to hear that. I had bad experiences of them back in the day, when they would indefinitely "backorder" any items that they no longer wanted to sell at the agreed price. The item would then be relisted at a more expensive price, and the originally priced order denied.

I'm pleased it wasn't any shenanigans like that behind the delay.

Retro. :)

Thought you'd be quite near an Amazon in Brazil!

I wondered that, but I believe there was some discussion around the time of Format that Neil no longer regards it as an official PSB track. Seems a shame, as it's a nice little gem (I'm aware I'm in the minority with that view) and it wouldn't exactly have taken up a lot of space.

The other main omissions for me are You've Got to Start Somewhere and A Little Black Dress - bit strange that there wasn't room for them, but I suppose you can't have everything...

Little Black Dress was supposed to have been included, but copyright issues prevented it.

I played Release and Further Listening across last night and this morning. Great stuff! I think I'll be returning to these FL CDs a fair bit to blast out whilst doing chores at home.
What's for supper?
