Didn't Neil himself confirm the boxset?

If I recall it correctly Neil was quoted in Literally that they have plans to release a box set with all Further Listening albums at a later date.

They plan on announcing the box set the second after we all buy these reissues.

They really should release 180g vinyl of all the albums - I think these would sell even to non-rabid fans. It's very "now".

At the talk about PSB artwork at the University in London a few years back I asked him if there was any chance of a singles boxset and he said yes! Probably fobbing me off! Unless he thought I meant the album reissues?

I won't be able to buy the boxset because the customs in Serbia would make me pay 50% more for it, so I was wondering... They didn't mention anything about re-releasing the first six FL's separately, right? :/

Same goes for the Elton John song Believe / Song for Guy. They didn't just turn up in a TV studio and play this song for the first time ever. The whole thing was recorded in a studio beforehand and all vocals recorded and the entire track produced by PSB. This would have then been taken to the TV studio and played back without the vocal track so that Neil and Elton could sing live over the backing track - which Chris is obviously miming too.
That's true but in Literally they announced a master version of Believe-Song For Guy was recorded (along with In Private and Alone Again Naturally) around 2002/03.

Re: Philadelphia IIRC Neil said on the questions section of the old website that they hadn't recorded this track properly. But of course there is a demo of sorts.

I'm thinking these tracklists are legit or maybe an early draft. Does anyone have a list of tracks officially available (inc online exclusives) not left off?

I can think of a few:

Radiophonic (demo)
K-Hole (extended version from promo)
E-Mail (demo)
Love Is a Catastrophe (demo)
London (Genuine Piano Version)
Flamboyant (PopArt version)
Indefinite Leave To Remain (demo)
God Willing (extended version)
I'm With Stupid (Demo)
The Sodom and Gomorrah Show (Demo)
Luna Park (Rock Mix)

FWIW I don't believe the Nightlife FL tracklists is the final one, but by including IDOSAC it is pointing the way to Bilingual and the first five albums not being reissued with third discs.

So Nightlife gets a third disc but Very doesn't, when they left off Relentless. Again?!

They probably will. Remastered 180g vinyl versions are listed by Nika Records for Nightlife, Release and Fundamental. It wouldn't make sense not to release the other albums as well (although the Elysium original release is still available).

It's going to be an expensive 2017...

Just an opinion: I believe these to be official BUT not final (hence their "we shouldn't have posted that").

For me the most painful omission is "Run, Girl, Run (original 1971 single version)" as sung by BIllie Trix. It's a super-rare track as far as official releases go, and beautiful as hell. Of course they might leave it out because they don't sing it (or because it was such an obscure release, who knows who holds the publishing rights), but I really really REALLY wish they put it in! <3

Of which, I have a mint copy that I've never played 👍

Its unfortunate that Neil promises news within a certain time frame. In situations like this, he should have kept his mouth shut.

Sure, something may have come up that wasn't able to be controlled - but I suppose the very mention of the current incarnation FL's will keep them in recent talk amongst the fan base and keep "general" interest fresh enough for new-ish product.

Win did Neil first mention the newer Further listening discs - 200x-something?

Being bad at communicating is a sackable offense. Least they could have done was say the announcement was delayed for reasons out of their control.
This is a song about boys and girls. You hear it playing all over the world.

The track lists on these are pretty good, but there's still a lot of stuff missing:
Mid-life crisis
Philadelphia live
The live b-sides to "I get along"
A red letter day
I get along
Love comes quickly
Action-Man version of IDKWYWBCGIA
The dance version of Drunk
The Bilingual demo of Drunk
The XFM session
Extended versions (Miracles, Flamboyant, Resurrectionist, Former enfant terrible)
And I could go on.
I'm hoping for singles box sets if only to gather together all the PSB extended, dance, Disco mixes etc.
