Tickets go on sale at 9.00am on Saturday, May 17th, 2014, at www.bbc.co.uk/proms, or by phoning 0845 401 5040. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Royal Albert Hall.

Sandy Shaw, since this is a BBC event, will ticket sales be allowed to those of us outside the UK?

Yes, the Proms season has visitors from all over the world. It is not like the Manchester recording where they restricted tickets to UK citizens.

I doubt that there will be a pre-sale, the important thing is to create a Proms Planner before the on-sale date.

Just to clarify that I cannot and will not post on behalf of the RAH, however I am happy to share knowledge as a PSB fan that I could have gained purely by being a fan and by checking out the booking arrangements!

Check out www.bbc.co.uk/proms and www.royalalberthall.com for details of the Proms Planner.

Also don't forget that you can queue for £5.00 standing tickets on the day.
