Songs never released on CD

#1 Post by BrilliantPSB »

Hi guys/girls,

I was wondering which are those songs you would love PSB would have released on CD, but haven't yet.
Neil Tennant has a great voice, Chris Lowe has great silence.

More than any other unreleased track, I would love an official version of "You've Got to Start Somewhere"!! Although I'm afraid it won't happen since they used parts of it for some of the music in "The Most Incredible Thing".

I'd die for having a proper release on CD of all their singles in box-sets (as Depeche Mode did), starting with 'Opportunities First Version'.

I think I'd go with Shep Pettibone remixes of Opportunities.

Actually there's shed loads of official tracks never released on cd. Off the top of my head from the early days there is Opportunities (dub for money) and the shep pettibone mixes, the U.S dub of Love comes quickly, the Arthur baker suburbia mixes, the U.S Latin mixes of It's a sin, the US dub mix of What have I done to deserve this?? And many more...

The 7" mix (a.k.a Video Mix) of "How Can You Expect To Be Taken Seriously?" has never been released on CD as yet. Also, is there a demo version of "The Loving Kind", with Neil singing? I'd like to hear that too, so would like to have both of these on a CD soon, maybe as b-sides or something.

Also, the 3 tracks from the "My Dad's A Birdman" project too!...

I wonder if they would ever release such a compilation.

It's amazing really, for a band of the 80s and 90s, th amount of unrealeased on cd material there actually is! The Heart remix 12"! The Always on my mind remix 12"! The David Morales mixes of Streets!
