Love is a Bourgeois Construct CD release discussion

#1 Post by moxlox »

I was somewhat surprised to see no specific thread on the release of the Love is a Bourgeois Construct CD.....so I've created one (yeah I saw the "where did you order it" thread). This is probably caused by the inflicted lethargy of releasing on download a month ago, followed by a CD later with all the same tracks on, bar one.

Yep there is a different track, the Little Boots Discotheque Dub, on the CD compared to the digital bundles. Nice version it is too...not just an instrumental of the Discotheque edit.

Packaging is cool, with the big CD sleeve format used by Vocal. Inside sleeve and slip cover are day-glo red - like the old Malboro colour on old F1 cars if you know that (looks orange red).

Here's a pic to excite you (ironically of the CD on my record player....where's the vinyl?!):

You know I'm not that keen on the singles package. Could have done with the Daytime Radio Edit and the Instrumental, or basically the contents of the entire promo to satisfy everyone.
I'm a proud sycophant because I like Wedding in Berlin

An interesting note is that now Michael Nyman is credited as co-writer, not Henry Purcell as on the album. The credit order is changed too, from "Tennant/Lowe/Purcell" to "Nyman/Tennant/Lowe". Also, a publisher has been added: "Chester Music Ltd". (Maybe it wasn't cleared or something in time for the album?)

Chester publish Nyman. Looks like he will get a (IMHO) well deserved cut!

I third that! How much was it if it's not a rude question?
