I hope that is the radio edit.

Example has said that his next album will have no rapping, and he wants to be known for singing now.

His singing on this song is exemplary.

The song is chorus packed, it doesn't need the rap in its short form.

Okay, seen the tweet where he's surprised the rap is missing. I'm not. There may be more than one radio edit again anyway.

What is this? Where is the rap? I hope this is a fan made one, or move over Numb.

Stop panicking about the rap. I'm sure this edit is by the same Musicoloog as seen on soundcloud. Whilst the edits are good they're not official.

Definitely not genuine...the cuts between segments are far too rough to be 'pet shop boys'

don't wish to panic anyone but I asked the seller of the promo CD on ebay the length of the radio and they said 4.00, the length of this edit? 4.00 :s

it sounds like a very lazy edit, if it is genuine....hope it's not

Come on, the mix-over at 2.35 is really really really really terrible.
If they choose not to release Sodom because a good radio edit could not be made, they surely wouldn't release this atrocity. The song just doesn't make any sense...

surely the shortest ever "feat" song... feat Example (for 16 seconds!)

Which should be proof enough for this not being the real thing. Also, the promo says "radio edit", not "single edit".

Still, there's some blog http://blog.dmds.com/?p=3652 where "Pet Shop Boys f. Example “Thursday” (Indie/Frontside Promo)" was #8 on the "Most Active Indies" list for "Week of Aug. 19th, 2013" - 10 days before the YouTube clip was uploaded.

Regardless of its genuineness:

Is the rap the most iconic moment of this record? I don't get all the moaning here. You have Neil's voice, you have Chris' recitation and finally you have Example's singing part (which is his finest contribution - I love this part) and there is no reason to complain about rap missing. Oh, I know - you're complaining, because now it won't sell as much as you expect. Am I right :P? Do you still look at this record in prism of future chart triumph? Who will be the first and admit that Example should sing verses and chorus too :P? Sorry, if it sounds like offence (that's not my intention), but sometimes I think there is some inessential madness about this song and about Example who MUST save PSB in terms of long-awaited single chart success.
I've been around the world for a number of reasons. I've seen it all the change of seasons, and I, my lord, may I say nothing?

I could give a flying rat's posterior about the potential 'chart success'; I really liked Example's rap! His whole bit is the best part of the song for me. This edit sounds horribly amateurish and I really hope it's not the official release.

I really, really, really hope that this is genuine, much, much better with that excrutiating nod towards "the kidz" excised, if this is the true single version. At least if it is they can hold their heads high that they didn't sell out in the vain hope of a chart hit thanks to someone popular with 11 year olds...
