... we had one of the most popular PSB albums released, "Very".

Are we on the eve of another equally popular PSB album?

Depends on how you mean that. It quite likely won't sell as much as "Very" did, that's for sure :P

Otherwise...it is too early to decide. Give it a few more days

There's no Go West type song on the new album. Whenever Go West comes up on my playlist I love to do Chris' arm movements as in the video. Its like the Radio Ga Ga of PSB. No Electric song will make me do that especially if PSB aren't seriously making videos anymore. Electric might be the kind of album that would make you dance...

...but I don't dance. :(

Maybe I'll change my mind after a few more plays, but Electric sounds more like a new Disco album. I'm LOVING Fluorescent though, what a track. Can wait to blast it through my stereo when my family gets up.

I can't see it, as much as Electric is great I just can't imagine another Very moment at this stage of their career. I still remember going to Woolsworths in Guildford after school and buying the last remaining copy of Very Relentless they had. Those were the days.............

Yes, believe me. We definetely are.
Neil Tennant has a great voice, Chris Lowe has great silence.

Plus there's still two more songs recorded simultaneously to Fluorescent to go!

I wish we were on the eve of another number 1 album. It damn well deserves to be.

Equally popular? Sadly no.
Equally amazing? Also no. I think it's even better. ;)

Well I think Very is slightly over rated ... *gets coat*

I do love Very, but it's quite kitsch in it's streamlined pop production. It was almost immediately dated.

Can only agree with Neil about the Disco + Introspective nature of Electric (from what I've heard).

And I LOVE both those albums :)

Very is overrated, not one of their best.

Well, I haven't heard "Electric" but I think is going to be one my favourite PSB albums. My Ranking:

1- Actually
2- Introspective
3- Very
4- Electric

Even better than "Please" and "Yes", "Fundamental" or "Elysium".

I think the problem with "Electric" is going to be the experimental thing. I mean, I think the pop thing is more atractive than experimental dance tracks. "Very" is more pop than "Electric". I'm sure the beginning of "Electric" is going to be even better than "Very" with "Axis", "Bolshy" and "Love is a bourgeois construct" but then the album is going to be darker and the quality of the album is going to decrease with some songs I think some songs could sound a bit like a B-side, for example "Inside a dream". The final part of "Very" is 5 starts, the final part of "Electric" is not bad but it's not so good.

And "Love is a bourgeois construct" is not "Go West", the lack of a proper chorus makes this song not as epic as "Go West" is. Anyway it is a really good track with a big production. In fact, this album has three excellent tracks "Thursday", "Love is a bourgeois construct" and (although I haven't listened to it in full) "Bolshy", very good track like "Axis", good track like "Vocal" and so a so tracks like "Inside a dream" or "The last to die". We'll see how "Fluorescent" and "Shouting in the evening" sound.
