PRESS Thread

#1 Post by Drem »

Don't you think that we need a centralised topic like "Pet Shop Boys on Youtube", but for all new press-materials and interviews?
Let's try to maintain it. If such a topic is already exist, please point it to me and then delete my recent posts here.
"I think it’s an amazingly good album, I’ve got to be honest with you. It’s one of the albums I feel most proud of. But for people who don’t really know us, and have a sort of an idea about us, ‘Electric’ is more what the Pet Shop Boys are meant to be."
(Neil Tennant, speaking about "Elysium" on the eve of "Electric" release.)

“We’re lucky enough to still be doing it at our age,” Lowe told the
Miami Herald. We’re still in our hearts sort of teenagers.”

Let's hope they'll feel like teenagers for another long time then.

Well, we’ve never hidden anything. There was never any pretense in what we do. We covered “Go West” by the Village People. We’ve never actually thought there was the need to be explicit about anything. We don’t like to be political and we don’t make political statements. Everything is in the music and you can get it if you want it. We’re just awkward bastards, really.
That's from the Chris's interview when asked about gay things. :D Hooray, Chris out of the closet!!!!!!!!!!!!
Interviewer:
-What would you tell someone about yourself if you wanted to impress them?

Chris:
-I´ve got a 12-inch plonker.

Thanks for the good interview where Neil gets very private.

Someone told me his mother passed away years ago and I
didn't know about it, never heard, so no wonder then, as it
is not true, both parents have passed away in a short dis -
tance then ...

I like the part where Neil talks about his dad giving marks out
of five to each 'Yes' song.
