Fan club renewal...

#1 Post by Enfant Terrible » Wed 07 Oct 2009, 9:30 am

Hi..
I renewed my membership online after the last issue of Literally on 1st Sept. My card has been charged but I've not received anything yet...just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? I was expecting a lovely new t shirt to arrive!! I've emailed them on 23rd Sept but not had a reply...I know the post is rubbish at the moment...(didn't think it would affect email too though  )
Cheers.

exactly! We had a few Germans also in the last time, who had to wait 1-2 month... Don't worry, you'll finally get the stuff!

I sent the cash in an envelope via postal mail a few weeks ago.

Keeping my fingers crossed that the money was delivered and I
will get something someday ...

T-Shirt? Blimey, don't get your hopes up. I renewed earlier this year and got a pen set. I could draw a t-shirt with them though......

Well, t-shirt is what it said on the form, but yep - you're right - that doesn't always count for much.
I'm sure I still have my original bits and pieces from when I joined years ago - I'll have to dig it out, just to see the text that says something along the lines of "as a Pet Shop Boys fan, we are sure you wouldn't be interested in receiving pens, pencils and erasers, but just a quality magazine three times a year". Not sure what this says they think of their fans years later by sending out wallets and,um, pen sets!!

Yes, you can renew through the official site. I'm still waiting for my stuff too, including the last Literally. I had renewed before it came out but didn't get it. Would be a shame to miss one after 20 years.

Talking of T Shirts, the last Literally had a Love Etc T Shirt offer included with it. Mine arrived today, V nice!! Good thing (?) about it is it doesnt have any Pet SHop Boys wording on it, so you can wear it without having people having preconcieved ideas about you...

Might it have something to do with the postal strike in the London area of England? Although that doesn't explain the email situation

Just had an email...

Hi...

Pardon the delay in responding to your message!

We've received your payment for renewal of membership and your file has been updated accordingly.

Unfortunately, we are still awaiting approval of the T-shirt design offered as a renewal incentive.

As soon as we have approval, the T-shirts will be printed and despatched.

It's looking like this won't be possible until PSB complete the South American tour, at the end of this month.

Expect your T-shirt in November, then!

Best wishes,

Mike Hrano,
Organiser,
PSB Club.
