Greetings,

Didn't see that coming!

Splendid news though and good to see the 12" clocking up a few sales... presumably that includes quite a few of the £6 CD1/CD2/12" bundles, which suggests that was a good move, but also means the pre-orders have now been shipped and sales are likely to stall from here on in.

A Top 20 finish would be good.

Retro. :)

How many sales did it take to reach the top 20 last week?

To answer my own question, last weeks #13 sold almost 18k while #33 sold just under 7k, so top 30 should be absolutely guaranteed. Top 10 is completely out of the question - last week #10 sold 21k, which is way out of reach for PSB.

Latest tweet from the Boys:

"Did you see me coming?" is number 5 in the UK midweeks today. (It'll probably drop as the week goes on but a great start!)

Sure didn't see that coming!
Still hesitant to pin any hopes on a top 20 result.
And everything about tonight feels right and so young
And anything I'd want to say out loud will be sung
It's in the music...

Well Love etc debuted at number 25 or something in the mid weeks and eventually moved up.

I hope Did you see me coming? holds steady.

Why are the midweeks published on a tuesday or effectively at close of sales on a monday?? :?

I would say that the 6 pound pre-order deal is almost completely responsible for this position... but anyway it's fantastic!
A 2nd top 20 single would be a triumph!
Just for the sake of it make sure you're always frowning

Wow that is a great start!

I guess people really snapped up the £6 bundle from recordstore. I know I did!

Over at Haven Chart Forum they're saying lots of date is missing from the Singles midweeks and to be basically disregard today's info.

Saying that, the first couple of days sales are pretty good.
Last week the #20 song shipped around 10,000. If they can do that, RESULT

Even top 30 is pretty good when you consider how poorly the second single from bands such as the Kaiser Chiefs and Keane did.
I don't think U2's single broke the top 40.

Also just bought the 3 bundles from itunes, which only came to £2.37.
If we could all do that :)
