After The Event
After The Event
Well, in my humble opinion I would install this as one of their best B-Sides, it's a truly fantastic track and I can't stop playing it.
It's got a nice bleepy line which plays through most of the track, some nice handclaps and chanting over the chorus "come on come on", great lyrics and well, if this doesn't sound too pretentious, a really nice pace and flow to it. It's one of those tracks which seems quite simple on the face of it but where you keep hearing new touches each listen.
I honestly thinks it's been a while since one of their B-Sides has stood out like the sort of track most groups could only dream of releasing as an A-Side.
Love it

Re: After The Event
It's fantastic and easily their best b-side since The Resurrectionist. It has quite a dark and epic tone to it. The whole Did you see me coming?? singles package has been a triumph and the only dodgy mix is the Unicorn one.
Re: After The Event
Thanks for the that - I've based this thread on the whole 5mins17secs though.............PlayBeyond wrote:http://www.petshopboys-forum.com/viewto ... =1&t=21252

After The Event has a minimal feel to it.

Re: After The Event
I preordered from iTunes (Australia) the 3 piece Did you see me coming? packages but "After the Event" wasn't included - and when I search iTunes (Aus) for it I can't find it.
So I'm wondering where I can find it online?
Many thanks

Re: After The Event
Yeah, "After the event" is only available on the physical release.
I preordered mine back in April - great deal too - downside is all imports take around 2 weeks to arrive in Darwin.

I guess the Boys have produced this track themselves? I wonder why they don't produce a whole album with songs like this. Pure PSB at their best!
