Anybody got the official lyric for this?

I'm curious about the line "It's not enough to win a brace of toff awards" - or at least that's what it sounds like to my ears. No doubt it's something completely different...

Must admit, I'm thoroughly enjoying pondering over who the protagonist might be. My latest brainfreeze is that it might be Ian McKellen. That said, I suspect it's about a number of individuals and is a conflation of their worst characteristics...

Could very well be top awards - and that might sit better with the obvious sneering of the narrator. Toff matches well with the House of Lords, though, and I think I'm hearing some f's in there. Oh, the madness...

I think you might be right that the eponymous enfant is a generic conglomerate, but even if that's the case, Neil's bound to have had someone particular in mind... will we ever find out, I wonder?
