But why, when for example Hallo Spaceboy wasn't (and there, Neil sings more than some backing vocals). Or has something changed and is it usual now to credit authors, producers, backing vocalists (except for these "ABC feat. XYZ" credits for rap, hip-hop and the like)?

I guess, rather downloable demo (on iTunes) with Neil' vocal. If there exist one.
"I think it’s an amazingly good album, I’ve got to be honest with you. It’s one of the albums I feel most proud of. But for people who don’t really know us, and have a sort of an idea about us, ‘Electric’ is more what the Pet Shop Boys are meant to be."
(Neil Tennant, speaking about "Elysium" on the eve of "Electric" release.)

100% single material IMHO.
It is credited to both RW and PSB on the sleevenotes for Rudebox but it will be released as a Robbie Williams single I would think, not neccessarily as a colloboration.

I guess they can credit these things to whoever they like. But Hallo spaceboy existed before the PSB version. This track is more akin to What have I done to deserve this?
