I know yesterday (13th March) was the first time a new PSB track had been played in ages, but (as per the long standing forum rules) in future all public requests for copies of any new track, PSB or otherwise, will be deleted and/or threads containing requests closed. We will officially...
someone of us was cheeky enough and stealed the set list from the stage at the German gigs:
01. Intro (More Than A Dream - Dub)
02. Heart
03. Did You See Me Coming
04. Pandemonium / Can You Forgive Her?
05. Love Comes Quickly
06. Love etc.
07. (Integral) Building A Wall
08. Go West

I was really watching Neil and I did not see anything that would indicate it was lip-synced. Feeback from the microphone. The small imperfections at times.
I think during the Montreal show Chris's keyboard had problems, as he looked to the side of the stage and banged on the keyboard, then...
Hi,
I am getting ready to see the first leg of the North American tour in Montreal on Aug. 29th. I've never seen them live before, so is it a typical concert setup....opening act for like 30-40 mins, concert for an hour then thats it....?
I am curious to know who is opening for them...if...

For us we got in at 6:30PM to the theatre. Local DJ then went on, about 7:30PM, and lasted til just after 8:30PM. PSB went on shortly after 9PM.
Hi all,
Does someone know if PSB will came in Italy with Pandemonium Tour?
Neil said in Italian TV that would be in Italy in autumn.... but for now nothing.... :(
Thank you! ;)

It's sad that Italy will not give them the space they deserve ...
I purchased tickets during the fan sale assuming that more of my friends would be able to attend. Most have backed out and I am left with two tickets for 9/1/09 and two tickets for 9/2/09. If anyone is interested, e-mail me at joeyj2ee@aol.com. I have the 9/1 tickets on StubHub right now...
Good week for PSB in the New York press (and we know why of course...). Besides that nice article in THE NEW YORKER which is in the Pet Texts thread, there are a couple of references in NEW YORK MAGAZINE as well.
It's the Fall Preview issue, and early on they have a big calendar, and each day has...

8) I love this:
Tennant and Lowe are part of a great tradition of slipping intense emotions into an envelope of wit that runs straight from Oscar Wilde to Noel Coward to the Boys .
...and I already have the tickets for Depeche Mode on October 17th!!!!!! This is UN-BELIVABLE!! PSB and DM together here in Buenos Aires at the same time!!!!!

PETHEADS:
I have 3 tickets available for the Atlanta concert - 9/12/2009. I'm still attending the concert but sitting in other seats that came my way via another source after I purchased the tickets below.
NOTE: These are fan club tickets and were purchased during the fan club pre-sale.
I received an email from Concertmaps on July 23 - the company who handled the advance tickets for the PSB shows - and they stated that my tickets have been printed and mailed. They have not arrived yet. My tickets are for the Greek in LA. Anyone get theirs yet?

The guys at the ticket office said that the meet and greet is BEFORE the show...
BEFORE the show?!
Really???
Interesting.
I guess Chris will have to take his pre-show nap a bit earlier then. :shhh:
It's strange that the boys aren't playing any dates in Texas at all. They Usually play Dallas and Houston, and on Fundy they played Austin. May not be able to see them at all this time unless I can make it to LV or something. :-(

Is the CTH production in Dallas anything to do with PSB, beyond them having originally co-written it? There is also a production of CTH in Brighton this year and I don't believe it has any official connection to the Pets.
Hey, so I pestered LiveNation and Ticketmaster and the $5 Citi promotion is now being honored for the NYC shows. Go to Ticketmaster to buy the tickets (I bought a few for Tuesday). I know Wednesday still had some available as of this morning...
Good luck!!!

How great I lined your wallet, what a trashy way to say so.
Need a concert buddy for the 9/2 show at Hammerstein Ballroom. I have reserved seats in the mezzanine. Looking for a PSB fan in my generation (35+), pleasant demeanor, and all-around nice gal. I’m pretty much the same, except I’m a guy. Drop me a line at jscomm@nyc.rr.com if interested.
Alright, I decided to pop for the VIP treatment. So, it's my first Meet & Greet. I'm assuming that I might get a chance to say something more to N&C than Hi. Love the new album. while I'm there.
But __ What in the world do Neil, Chris & I have to talk about when we meet & greet?
I'm told I'm...

Goodness .... I'm rather pleased to still some interest in this thread. And also glad to get a few more tips. I do suppose that since I've bought an Opening Night ticket to the US Premiere of Closer to Heaven in Dallas, Oct 2010, I might be able to ask Neil about his thoughts on the show, etc....
The Ticketmaster website has the option of selecting tickets for both shows at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York for $8, if you have a code for the LN Friends & Family Promotion
I'm guessing LN = Live Nation but apart from that I can't figure out what this is?
Any ideas?
I'm going to the...

According to Live Nation it is for companies with special arrangments for their employees. All tickets are general admission, so any price works for me. Right now there is a $5 promo running for Citibank card holders (you're welcome -- I pestered them to honor the LiveNation $5 promo they were...
Obviously they won't be wearing little boots (personally I would hazzard a guess at Chris in trainers and Neil in fancy shoes 8) ) but apparently, PSB will be doing a short set with Little Boots at 'Matter', the club at the O2 venue.
PSB and Little Boots will be headlining the 'SMIRNOFF: U.R. THE...

that rambles all over the place like a line dance at a mexican Quinceañera.
This made me laugh, 'cause I know exactly what you're talking about.
Thanks territorygal, glad you recognize the metaphor.
So from what I've seen from some of the tour footage Chris' live setup is a Korg 88key Triton Studio(with accompanying Apple Monitor to view softsynths he's controlling) as his main Keyboard, a couple of drum pad triggers on his left, a Moog Minimoog to his right and a synth underneath that used...
Last post
the Korg keyboard this time around is actually a Korg M3 with Radius board. :)
Really, I can't tell from Neils' Twitter photo but it would make sense as the M3 is all the rage these days.
only reason i know this is because Pete G. told me. :D
You know this new tour tracker thing, right? Is it only me or does anyone else find it amusing that they want photos from the gigs posting on it, when they tell you no photos are allowed at the gigs (not that it makes any difference to the sea of mobile phones and cameras held aloft in the crowd).

I don't know what the tour tracker thing is, but I agree it sounds a bit... contradictory. But that is very PSB I guess!
Hope none of the three thousand speed cameras between Suffolk and St Pancras were switched on this morning. Cutting it fine doesn't come close.
Someone has just pointed out we stayed in Lowestoft. That's Lowe -stoft. Which seems unfeasibly funny at the moment. But then that could...

Sorry Max, it was just a flip comment to make me feel better about being there for so little time, and I certainly didn't mean to dissmiss the rest of the festival. I went armed with high expectations and a list of things/people I wanted to see, and only missed them due to a work delayed start and...
closer to heaven
Just wanted to let you all know that tickets for the forth coming production of closer to heaven have gone on sale today!
Closer to heaven is being staged by City Theatre Co in Brighton between the 22nd and 26th September 2009 at the Sallis Benney Theatre.
For further information...
yesterday afternoon they arrived here, and just a few hours later, they had a press conference.
They didn't wait for a question before mentioning how hot is (although Chris wore a long sleeved sweatshirt). nothing new has been revieled there, AND they were realy nice and calm (even when someone...
Attention all who lives in eastern canada, PSB arent going to Toronto, they are going to a festival north of Barrie to Burl's creek, at the Virgin mobile Festival on Sunday August 30th,.
Do google map
Type in Burl's creek, Ontario, Canada, it will tell you how to get there. Be more specific...
Of those of us who have been to the amazing Pandemonium dates in Manchester and London (I've probably unwittingly met some of you!) can anyone tell me what the warm-up music is?
I know they play the PopJustice CD before the support act, but while they're clearing the stage and waiting for the Pets...
Last night (Stockholm) some fans and forummember ruined me and other fans to get N+C autographs. The concert was great as earlier concerts reviews. I might be a big and long time fan but never met them by person to have something signed so this was the chance and even I have a flu ongoing and was...

The Pet Shop Boys do not have any shows planned for Spain just yet but we are hoping that we will play there next summer. When the shows are announced and if one is convenient for you please get in touch with me and we will see how we can make up for your accident.
I have this fear of being locked out the restricted numbers tent... :grumble:
Anyone know what time they are due on and how long they normally stay on stage at such festivals?
I'm presuming it is a shorter set?

Am I the only one going to Roskilde tomorrow?
Now that you can buy one-day tickets, I would have thought many more fans were going.

Reading this thread now after finding out they will be playing at Virginfestival in Ontario... so at Roskilde they DID play the FULL show (minus Love Comes Quickly)??
I do assume Roskilde is comparable with Virginfestival? Yes, full show minus Love comes quickly.
According to live nation there was no problems with the sound at the o2 and no one complained!!!
See their responce to my complaint below
Thank you for your email, concerning your dissatisfaction with the sound quality at the Pet Shop Boys concert held at the O2 in June. I apologise for the...

I read a lot of tweets at the time complaining about the sound. (eg: It was like listening to it thru my car speakers whilst I'm in my house )
I was at the side, about 3/4 back and I could hear people talking all around me.
I sneaked down to nearer the front and could see a huge rig of speakers...
Great night in Liverpool. Same set, so no surprises there. The sound was brilliant... Maybe the best I've heard them in 20 shows. The arena was screened off half way, which I suspect would always have been the plan... Good atmosphere at the front... Crowd seemed to love it. This show really is them...

I was stood at the front where Chris was and felt that the crowd were really disappointing apart from those stood up in the seating area to the left of the stage. This was in stark contrast to Manchester where the crowd seemed a lot more up for it. I still feel there are problems with the sound but...
Just announced by CL on Twitter than a DVD will be filmed of the tour, possibly at the December O2 concert.

Was there really that much to film apart from Neil and his trusty guitar?
I love a lot re-arragments of that tour: above all Love comes quickly: superb!
Has anyone received theirs yet from ticketmaster. I haven't :?
Making a weekend of that one so will be leaving on the Friday afternoon :?

Right at the front of the barrier infront of chris's keyboards! Very quiet people wise, hardly anybody in the venue, very strange! Report back at full time
When I say the public reaction I mean which one of the potential third single was the most acclaimed or applauded by the public in live shows and maybe and because of that the best option for single.
Last post
All Over The World wins based on the Manchester Apollo reaction!
The same for O2 reaction.
I've got two tracks from the live radio broadcast at Roskilde Festival. Did you see me coming and Pandemonium/Can you forgive her + a short interview with the guys!
If you're interested, send me a PM and I'll fix you up with a link!
