Re: There's still hope for Neil

For some reason I find that music video very difficult to watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcouA_oWsnU I've never heard of Captain Tom Moore, but there's clearly someone else signing in the song so I don't know what involvement the man has. Also it's a bit insulting to compared this 100 year ...

Re: Hey, Super - that's a really good album

I can't help but fear the period that comes after. I fear that they will slip again without Stuart's input. Since I've heard that "Burning the heather" was meant for the next album, I feel like another "Release/Elysium" nadir is coming. Excellent. Release and Elysium are two of ...

Re: Annually 2020 + Free CD

I’m intrigued by what they wrote about Wallish Walls. I wonder if the name of the place fascinated Neil just as much as it did me! Very small road in Northumberland.

Re: Pound Shop Boys - Coronation Street

These internal british/english references and, supposedly, jokes are what really drags this forum down. Sooo boring. It’s terribly English isn’t it, well isn’t it? Strange that. Considering PSB are the most quintessential English band you could get. Oh wait...you didn’t like any Scottish related po...

Re: That's My Impression - Question

Apart from the odd extended 12 inch versions I had already given up buying 45s by the mid 80s so That’s My Impression and pretty much the whole Alternative album was a mind blowing massive bonus to me when it was released. I couldn’t believe there was a whole alternative world of Pet Shop Boys that ...

Re: What does it mean to you?

Being in the category of the soundtrack to my life could be an invitation to bore the pants off people so I’ll keep it short. The first song that slapped me in the face was Love Comes Quickly. It gave me hope when I badly needed it and they were right. Eventually there was a Metamorphosis 😉. The lin...

Re: Faces on Posters..

I can understand why you feel you want to step back for a while. I’ve been there myself in other ways. But. It’s clear that most people liked what you did and are desperate to find a poster to do our own photo 😊. Don’t let that one person spoil the fun.

Re: Plans for a theatre project in 2021

Probably from this magazine: https://www.pressreader.com/australia/dna-magazine/20200201/282849372970959 Thanks for sharing. I'm disappointed Neil doesn't know about the Abba song Dreamworld. After seeing how he went to the Abba museum, and has made other references to Abba I was imagining he was a...

Re: Agenda instead of Hotspot

I think it’s clear from reading this forum that we all have varying taste even within our shared love of PSB. The “how can you make hotspot better?” Thread shows this. I find that every era produces good tracks. Some eras I enjoy more than others, but often my favourite songs are a mix of album tra...

Re: At Rock Bottom (snippet)

It’s growing on me. It reminded me of something else on first play. The music at the beginning is like a slow version of parts of U2 Even Better Than The Real Thing Perfecto Mix
