Re: September single...???

Also, the intro sounds like Hold that sucker down by OT Quartet which makes it a winner for me right away. I thought exactly this. Also, I think there’s a callback to “I want to wake up” later in the track as well. I’m always a sucker for a hugely ‘up’ party tune paired with seemingly slight lyrics...

Re: September single...???

I think it's great and sounds relevant and modern. Also, the intro sounds like Hold that sucker down by OT Quartet which makes it a winner for me right away.

Re: Pet Shop Boys - Hyde Park Sep 15th 2019

I really hope this is something new, with at least one new song. I really hope they're not being lazy and put on the Super show again.... The percussionist guy from the Super tour already tweeted about looking forward to being back on stage this weekend with PSB. He said it was an adapted Super sho...

Re: PSB EDINBURGH MUSICAL SHOW

Great article, thanks for sharing. She says the songs are going on Spotify after the show opens, so 5th August maybe?? Hope they'll be available to buy as well.

Re: Name the next Pet Shop Boys album

I don't know if this has been said before (and I can't be bothered to check) but in an interview for Super they said they liked the German word Genau, which means exactly in English. So, could well be: Pet Shop Boys, Genau. I like Pet Shop Boys, exactly.

Re: New EP in April: Agenda

If Agenda was meant to provoke debate on some sensitive current affairs, I'd say this thread certainly proves that it has worked. Getting back to topic, there has always been a PSB 'agenda' in terms of highlighting issues in the world, such as ID cards (Integral) and the transparency of some 'pop' s...

Re: The Forgotten Child - Production credit(s)

I love the fact the EP tracks don't have that massive audible breath before each line that Neil sings like some recent album tracks. Really irritates me especially on the verses of The Pop Kids. Hope the new album has better produced vocals as well.

Triangles are the only album cover homage I don’t recognise in that OSM video. Perhaps the new album?
I just had exactly the same thought! Seems logical after the cubes and circles.

Re: How different are your PSB tastes from those of the majority of PSB fans?

I love Was it worth it, Metamorphosis, Ego music, Hold on and, wait for it, Winner. I must be one of the few PSB fans who really likes Winner. It would sound a million times better being sung by a young boy band entering Eurovision, but in terms of it's lyrical and musical content, and that killer m...
