Re: Winner Remixes on sale now in UK

Not a bad effort for £1.99. I thought the Happy Hour remix would be just an edit of the Happysad mix but it's totally different. Dahlback remix is a bit random but not a bad track. Can't hear much of the original in there. Still a far cry from say It's Alright - normal version 1 week, remix 12"...

Just bought them too and the "Listeners also bought" recommendations showed Baby It's Christmas by Bananrama, that's gotta be a load of bull! I can't believe anyone bought that today.

Re: Winner Remixes on sale now in UK

I think it would mess up. Dj Culture and Dj Culturemix are charted respectively on nr13 and 40 Different chart rules in those days, DJ Culture remix was a separate single as there had been as many formats as were allowed of the normal DJ Culture (4 I think -7", 12", cd and cassette). Sanm...

Re: What have we done to deserve this ?

Furthermore, there is no portable device in existence that could hold my entire record collection in a lossless format, or for that matter, a significant or desirable portion in a lossless format. Okay, that's arguably me just being a spoiled brat, but again, it's all very well people saying we sho...

Re: What song had the most quality remixes overall?

I would go so far as to say that the only officially released UK remixes that are rubbish from Please through to Discography singles are the 12" remix of Heart and the DJ international mixes of It's alright. Some of the David Morales remixes from behaviour era are a bit average but not awful. I...

Re: The "Ultimate Tours" Survivor Challenge - Round Two

MCMLXXXIX Tour was ruined by Courtney Pine's Saxophone for me. Not sure why Nightlife was booted out so early, there were some ace new versions of songs in there. Are people voting on sound, quality of the DVD/video released or on personal experience of attending? I've only attended Release and Pand...

Re: Live on BBC Radio 2 - Dec 2003

I have these as well as the Barfly It's a sin from Parkinson and the XFM session which added Flamboyant and Rent. The Rent version is particular superb in my opinion.

Re: The Misc Songs (Part Two) Survivor Challenge - Round One

In Private and Hallo Spaceboy for me, both average to poor.

I must be alone in thinking Together is a top song, it was the highlight of the Take That support for me and I think it beats any of the Yes singles.

Re: Ultimate You Tube Compilation

I have just found out that a colleague at work has the facility to convert You Tube files to mp3. I am trying to compile a playlist of excellent tracks which I cannot find elsewhere. Things like the Parkinson version of 'It's a Sin'. Any ideas? Not just your colleague that has this ability, anyone ...

Re: Album with best mixes

Would have to be Very, CFYGH and Liberation had the best mixes ever, closely followed by the unauthorised mixes of Go West. Or in the real world, I agree with others about the vintage disco and dance mixes of the early albums.
