Re: PSB live feed from Coachella

Just rewind on youtube, drag the little button back to see the whole show. Not live, but it's still there.

Re: Entschuldigung (Vocal B-side for possible digital d/l on

Well, One More Chance didn't have a b side, only a remix on the 12", same as Paninaro 12". So in essence they are going back to their roots. Integral didn't have a b-side either. But beside those anomalies, yeah, no b-side is a bit annoying.

Re: " Your Early Stuff" is the first dubstep track PSB ever

Funny, I actually thought that "your early stuff" sounded a lot like "West End Girls," with the intro strings and especially the drum beat, which is similar to the bass drum on the dance mix of "West End Girls". You could basically rap sometimes your better off dead ove...

Re: PSB VS Phil Collins

The drum break/roll on "No Time For Tears" is essentially a nod to Phil, nearly identical to In the Air Tonight.

Re: PSB vs Underworld

Underworld is one of my favorites. And I agree that they are good collaborators, just look at how they transformed from 80's dance-pop, opening up for Eurythmics at one time, to having DJ Darren Emerson join the band and crate some of their most well loved tunes. Anyway, beyond that, Have you heard ...

Re: Winner video

All I can say is it is experimental. Not pop, not really a music video. That doesn't matter, videos in general are crap now anyway, honestly what the world will remember of this song is their performance at the Olympics anyway. If this song does what it is supposed to do, this will be everyone's song.

It's a stretch, but Adam Clayton is from the UK, nice surprise hearing PSB.

Re: Winner b-sides

Awesome, they covered "I Started a Joke" I have thought they should do that song since they released "I Get Along." I have actually sung along to the Bee Gees version in my faux Neil voice.
All I can say is thanks to them.... Now I really need this single.

Re: How many more Pet Shop Boys album left?

Ask Leonard Cohen when he is going to retire. I mean, honestly, The Beach boys just made a new record! Seriously, as a PSB fan, will you stop buying their records as long as they are good? Do birds stop singing? Has Robert Plant stopped, the list of old rockers making records goes on and on, why is ...

Re: PSB VS Phil Collins

Not to argue the merits of Collins' work or politics, but... When PSB did Bilingual they were way into Phil Collins territory. With the drums, the horns, the fame conscious lyrics, the social commentary, the sunny delight throwaway pop: It wasn't PSB's finest moment but it actually would have made a...

Re: Between Very and Bilingual

A lot of things changed from 1993 to 1996, including their attitude. 1993 Very was a pop album, but by the end of it's run we had the embarrassing dry hump of "Ab Fab" + "Disco 2" and the somewhat lifeless re-do of Paninaro '95. It seemed that with "Yesterday When I Was Mad&...

Re: The Together Chart Position Meltdown Thread

Well, with the exception of Love Etc. The Singles from this era weren't handled all that well. This one was no exception, a one off single that got released a month after the fact, especially in the times of downloading, one song is a difficult sale, and I imagine that the physical sales weren't exa...

Re: Together - Radio/Ultimate Mix

There is a slight difference in the mix, the piano is mixed higher in the radio mix. But honestly more sounding like an alternate EQ-ing than an actual remix... I mean we are talking about the pet shop boys, a band where remix usually means something.
