Re: Live performances of Chris in past and now.

There certainly isn't another pop star like Chris. If I remember rightly Patsy Kensit called him the Victor Meldrew of pop many years ago (for those of you who have no idea who Victor Meldrew is, he was a character from a sitcom who would moan about anything and everything) and if he can get away w...

Like I said, I was talking about how he seemed to age massively in a short time. Of course people age, it wasn’t a criticism. Neil looks younger than him now.

Re: Live performances of Chris in past and now.

His comment about not liking kissing as it’s too intimate is particularly surreal. I know I'm probably opening a can of worms with this, but that attitude about kissing being "too intimate" is actually a surprisingly common view among some gay men. There are many guys who regard kissing as far more...

Re: Hull 2021

What are PSB gigs like? Usually amazing! :D When we have been fans have been great etc... The only real problem we have had is the seating as I am disabled. Some of the gigs the sound jumps off of where we are sitting and ruins it. (Birmingham was shocking). You won't have that problem standin...

Re: Live performances of Chris in past and now.

Anyone who intends to defend a dissertation on Chris must pay attention to the Savoy documentary (1997) released on DVD. Strangely I can't find it on Youtube now. Here is a very Chrissy moment from there at 24:25: vlcsnap-2020-07-25-23h19m49s501.jpg Haha I will have to try track the documentary.

Hull 2021

I’ve just booked two standing tickets for Hull. It will be my first ever PSB gig. But it will also be my first “big” gig in about ten years. I suffer with anxiety (and depression) so couldn’t handle crowds. What are PSB gigs like?. I used to queue for 12 hours to get to the front of gigs and it woul...

Re: Live performances of Chris in past and now.

You both make great points. I’m currently reading “literally” by Chris Heath. I think both Neil and Chris don’t come across amazingly well but when it’s not in context it’s hard to get the right impression. There’s a good quote where Neil suggests that Chris has an inferiority complex and Chris agre...

Re: Live performances of Chris in past and now.

http://psb-atdeadofnight.net/neil_chris/e_chris.php So I just read this. Granted it’s not recent but is Chris really that miserable? Or is it part of his “act” in the PSB. His comment about not liking kissing as it’s too intimate is particularly surreal. As is his comment about not having any ambiti...

Re: Live performances of Chris in past and now.

Chris over the last few years is becoming a recluse. He has said as much (can’t remember where though) and much prefers to shy away from any kind of spotlight. Even in the west end girls lockdown video he has his back to us. The ‘noodling’ video was face covered. The days of him performing on stage...

Re: Live performances of Chris in past and now.

I just watched “we all feel better in the dark”. I couldn’t believe I was watching the same guy. He seemed to be having a lot of fun. He seems so he something of an enigma it seems. Not that Neil is particularly forthcoming either. I’m a big Queen fan and Freddie was always particularly private but ...

Live performances of Chris in past and now.

I'm a complete newbie so apologies if this has been discussed before... I've been watching some live performances of the guys and I was really surprised to see Chris so involved. His dancing and rapping/singing in "paninaro". Are there any similar performances where he gets involved?. Also was there...

Hi everyone. I'm a lady in my late thirties and embarrassingly I've only just discovered PSB. I'm still at the greatest hits stage and have yet to explore the albums properly. I'm glad to have the use of youtube and spotify to do this, my other band is Queen and when I discovered them as a teen. It ...
