Re: Vote now for the greatest synth sound of all time!

As much as i love the boys i was never a fan of West End Girls when it released, it wasn't until i heard Paninaro & Suburbia that they gripped me, so i went with the track that had by far the biggest impact on me at first listen a very very long time ago.

The Scots are some of the most generous people in the world and i'll give you that for free...because i'm generous...and Scottish 8)

Re: When you stop liking the music as much

PSB have always had that knack of being so utterly unpredictable with their sound, even a CD single release can have four or five tracks that sound completely different from each other, they have done this with my entire listening time with them since Paninaro grabbed me and shook the life out of me...

I would like to see Disco 5 (or Discofied) have a new PSB dance mix of one track only from each of their studio albums, mine would be... Re: Pet Shop Boys & Robbie Williams

You have maybe heard this and discussed this before in another thread, but I just want to say that the songs in which Robbie has got help from Pet Shop Boys are really great songs. One of the best is "No Regrets" and of course Robbie's song "We're the Pet Shop Boys" is great. That was all i wanted ...

Re: Richard X on working with PSB and others

Funnily enough i was listening to Fugitive yesterday. I love the intro to it, how everything is calm and serene, I have this image in my head while listening to the start of the song of New Yorker's going about their daily business while the soothing music gently plays in the background lulling us i...

Re: Actually vs Introspective, choose the best one

Introspective. I still remember the chills i got when i played the album on the day it was released, in my home, alone after work and hearing the opening to Left To My Own Devices...i thought it was the greatest thing i had ever heard, i was a massive superfan by then off course but for me "Devices"...

Re: The best remix ever

For me the remix has to add to the original song in such a way to make it sound new and fresh. My top 5 (off the top of my head) would be 1. Young Offender (Jam & Spoon Trip-O-Matic Fairy Tale Mix) 2. Here (PSB New Extended Mix) 3. Discoteca (Baby Doc Mix) this was very close with the (Trouser Enthu...

Re: Bring him back - I know who I want to produce the next album

"Bring 'him' back"? How about a "female" producer...or a "transgender"/"them" producer? Gender can be so fluid these days. "Him" is such a label. How about "artist"? A more open-minded label. Yes but the context the OP is talking about is Bobby Orlando and bringing him back, last time i checked Bob...

Re: Answers from isolation - Neil Tennant

Is Neil a vegetarian or is this everything that was left in the back of his kitchen larder...you know that dark bit at the back of the top shelf where time stands still and sell by dates are a thing of legend? or is this something he routinely cooks and eats for enjoyment and to combat constipation ...
